04.20.2013 Pour from growler
Pours a clear light garnet. Ascerbic smells of copper, must, spice. Sweeter taste than the nose indicates. Alcohol presence with esters and caramel.
On tap at Colorado Plus poured a cloudy reddish amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of caramel, fruitiness and yeast. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of caramel, fruitiness, yeast and light spice with a crisp dry lingering fruity finish. ajnepple (7337) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - MAY 2, 2014
On tap at Colorado Plus. Dark orange and cloudy appearance with a light white head. Somewhat mild aroma, light funk, pale malts, herbs, floral notes, light spice, light hops and a touch of alcohol. Similar flavor, mild to medium bitterness, mild sweetess, spicy, crisp and vinous. Medium body, pretty smooth overall. DenverLogan (1299) - North Bend, Washington, USA - JUN 11, 2013
Had this on tap at brewery and brought home a growler...let the growler sit 2 weeks.
Pours a copper with small head...has lace in my St Bernardis chalice.
Aroma of field flowers, rosemary water, mango-papaya juice.
Modest carbonation and mouthfeel.
Flavors of semi-bitter tropical juices, minerals, herbal tea, mango, papaya, tangerine. Overall tasty and different...minimal malts or hops but for the style quite tasty.

Hazy dark copper - nose of orange marmalade, doughy and dusty yeast, candi sugar, light metallic notes - flavor is sweet, but drier and spicier than the aroma suggests - quite a bit of dusty basement yeast character - light citrus - mild gingerbread - spicy finish - quite nice. onceblind (10855) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 22, 2013
Hazy orange copper with an aroma of farmhouse dusty yeast, Belgian pale grains, and a touch of orange citrus. Like a heftier Saison. Flavor is much the same, again like a heftier Saison. Flavors of wheat and Belgian farmhouse grains, a bit of dust, a bit of honey, and a bit of orange citrus. A little yeast spice but not much. Sweet and earthy and funky. Wonderful.

(Draught at the Big Beers, Belgians and Barley Wines dinner, Vail, CO 2013) clearish medium amber, wispy tan bubbles. Nose is funky, metallic, copper, yeasty, cinnamon, caramel and freshly milled grain. Taste is much better than the nose, caramel, cinnamon, hint of orange, really nice biere de garde.
