Pour on tap at the brewery, clear yellow-orange pour had a thin white head, aroma brought some grain, biscuit, some slight hay, and yeasty bread, hints of spice and slight grass as well. On tap @ brewery. Clear yellowish copper with a metallic biscuit malt aroma. Taste was toasty and biscuity with a lot of lager yeast doughiness. Kinda bland overall and too yeasty.

Tap. Pours clear amber with a medium, frothy white head, average retention with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (grain, meal, biscuit), light hops (spicy), and a clean lager character. Growler, shared with Gabe. Pours a medium, light beige head, over a clear, dark amber (SRM 10) body.....nose is light toffee/ caramel, light cereal....taste is light cereal, toffee/caramel, finishing with a light bitterness, and,unfortunately a hint of fusel heat.....mouth feel is on the lighter end, carbonation adds foam. On tap at Dry Dock poured a clear amber with a lingering ivory head. Aromas of carmel, light fruittiness and a hint of spice. Palate was light bodied and crisp. UPDATED: SEP 26, 2009 On tap at brewery. Looks like iced tea, roasty nose, touch of banana esters on tongue. A little more bitter than other alts I’ve had. nice roastiness, as it warms. hints of... apricot, and nice effervescence. Light palate. -- edit: glad I had this one, looks like it just won Gold at GABF 2009!
