On tap at Hops and Pie poured a clear reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of carmel, fruittiness, light earthiuness and light toffee. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, toffee, earthiness and light fruittiness with a smooth dry lingering malty finish. onceblind (10889) - Denver, Colorado, USA - DEC 6, 2011
Clear dark copper with a lucious off white head, loads of lace. Smells of rustic toffee and some mildly burned toast. Taste was nice and smooth, yet fully robust and malty. Slightly metallic though. Burnt toffee, some big doughy biscuit, and something like rust. Ok, but nothing special.
