Clear golden with a small foamy white head. Aroma was light and grainy with a faint background of leafy hops. Flavor was light and very balanced. Would call it a British IPA but there’s no toffee tones. It’s largely pale grain off-sweetness with a leafy and lightly citric bitterness that’s very reserved, probably 25% as bitter as a west coast IPA. Finishes leafy and quiet and pale. You sure this isn’t just a pale ale? SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JAN 24, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a golden color with a thick white head. Outstanding walls of white lace in the glass. Has a nice fresh hop citrus grapefruit aroma. The flavoring hops are big and green. This beer tastes like it could be wet-hopped. bleeng (1682) - Seattle still not near Beersel., Washington, USA - MAY 10, 2009
Tap at the brewery. Clear gold with a nice head. Mild hop profile and very smooth with a medium body. Well balanced, somewhat bitter and very dry at the finish. Good beer. Ratman197 (14834) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - APR 29, 2009
Growler poured a clear tarnished gold with a small lingering ivory head. Aromas of pine, orange zest, biscuit, apricot and light tropical fruit. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of pine, earthiness, orange zest, pink grapefruit and light carmel with a crisp dry lingering bitter finish.
