Sampled at Big Beers, Belgians, and Barleywines. Pours clear dark brown with a low, fizzy head, some to light retention with low lacing. Aroma is grainy, earthy malt with light earthy hops; some notes of yeast and dark fruit (pear, plum, date). Flavor is medium sweet malt, fruity esters, dark fruit, sweaty yeast and alcohol. Full bodied, moderate carbonation, and a dry-spicy finish.
