2.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
On tap @ brewery. Bright gold with a slight haze and a long lasting small white head. Aroma of orange zest, grapefruit, glazed doughnuts, and floral hops. Pretty interesting hop aroma. But it tasted like stale grassy hops, with some bright peppery tones..none of the nuance that the nose had. Trace taste of bile. Malts are overshadowed, though some mild seetness isw indeed present. Tastes a little too chemically.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a medium off white head, with some lacing, over a cloudy dark gold (SRM 6) body.....nose is pine, resin, grapefruit, light toffee/caramel, slight honey floral.....taste is resin, pine, grapefruit peel, honey floral, pineapple, finishing with a lingering clean bitterness....mouth feel medium, slightly sticky, carbonation adds creaminess. This is aggressively hopped, but is surprisingly well balanced. The complexity of the hop bill comes through with layers of varied aromas, flavors, and bitterness The dry hopping was done by a skilled hand which allowed the nuances of the hops to show through.
