On tap at Dry Dock and served in a very small glass, not sure why. Golden yellow color with a good head. The aroma was kind of weak but nothing offensive, malts and minerals. Taste is a little fruity, a little earthy (hops?) but after having several good local Kolsch beers lately from Coopersmith’s and Odell I’m afraid this falls short.

Tap at the brewery - clear gold pour - moderate carbonation - nose of grassy noble hops and clean maltiness - flavor is semi-dry and very crisp - peppery and lightly fruity hops dominate - very mild, clean, lighty sweet malt - lightly spicy finish - very tasty. onceblind (9445) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 6, 2011
On tap @ brewery as Keelhaul Kolsh. Transparent pale gold, with an aroma of slightly floral and toasty pale cereal malts. Taste was fruity malty, very slight hint of bubblegum, some wheat and more toast and cereal grains on the finish. Not shabby for a kolsh. Ratman197 (14704) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - SEP 2, 2011

Tap. Pours clear light yellow with large, frothy white head, long retention with great lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (grain, meal, straw), light hops (spicy), and notes of corn. Flavor is moderate malt, light hops, and corn. Light body and warmth, average carbonation with a dry finish. drjay44 (3683) - Salida, Colorado, USA - FEB 20, 2011
Growler, shared with Gabe. Pours a thin white, short lived head, over a clear yellow (SRM 3) body....nose is cereal, toast, bread, grain .....taste is mild, light sweet cereal, biscuit, mild hop bitter finish....mouth feel is light, carbonation high. This is quite typical for a Kolsch, gentle, light, delicate. The correct name is Keel Haul Kolsch. BJCP 7/3/13/4/6 adnielsen (10605) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JAN 29, 2011
Tap @ brewpub. Completely transparent yellow appearance with a white head. Like their Helles, the nose is somewhat grainy but way more under control and appropriate. Smells like it’ll be a crisp kölsch. Flavor is a basic pale grainy body that’s a little grassy. Smooth and crisp finish. Pretty good kölsch.
