Nitro at the brewery - a nice, dry, medium bitter dry stout, with a hint of bitter chocolate, some mineral notes, earthy, leafy character - a bit of savory character - even a touch of smoke - listed at 4% abv, so super session able, but extremely flavorful at the same time - pretty much everything you want in a dry stout. onceblind (9887) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 8, 2012
Black with a lasting creamy light brown head, great lace. Smell is like charred peat, some pen ink, and very bitter chocolate. Texture is nitro smooth but a little light. Flavor, like the nose, is smokey charred peat with black malts and a light dose of bitter dark chocolate. Light palate and too roasty. arminjewell (9687) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - APR 5, 2011
Pours deep brownish black with nice nitro flowing tan head. Aroma was right on, with notes of roast, some slight hop, coffee. Taste was a bit thin for nitro, but had notes of coffee, roast, some pine with a touch of chocolate, finishing dry and bitter. cubs (10639) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - APR 1, 2011
