Very nice with a full hop experience. Pine resin aroma, some grapefruit and lemon and some grass. The flavor is almost entirely citrus, esp. grapefruit. Lacks a bit of balance that could have been provided by more caramel. AcctError96987 (3722) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 16, 2012
Bottle shared by Thorpe429. Thanks Mike!
The beer is orange and slightly hazy, with a decent sized white head that leaves a fair amount of lacing on the tulip glass. Aromas include hops, dry citrus and floral scents. The taste is slightly sweet, with a dank hop presence. Alcohol presence is disguised very well. The finish is not as dry or bitter as is customary in a DIPA. Overall, a pretty tasty brew, and one I would have again.

A-- Poured a clear yellow color. Pour resulted in a 2 finger white head. Kept its shape quite well for a good period of time before slowly receding to one finger. Little strips of lacing with this. More visible carbonation than I expected.
S-- Citrus. Lots of citrus. No Carmel smell at all. Just Lemon peel, Orange and grapefruit. Fresh fruit citrus salad
T-- Pungent Grapefruit and orange with some lemon.
M-- Big aggressive grapefruit and orange. Very fresh taste. Long lasting grapefruit feel. Little bit of lemon and lime kick in the end. Also mixed with orange and grapefruit. Lots of acid to this. Starts off medium and finishes heavy. Perfect carbonation for the style.
D-- 9% ABV?? Really. Extremely well hidden beer.

Birthday beer from Alyssa! Delicious DIPA. Pours light gold, slight haze. Little to no head. Light citrus hops on the nose - grapefruit, resin, slight green apple. Delicious floral hop flavor, smooth with just enough bite. Little to no malt sweetness. mar (5434) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 23, 2012
Light yellow with a white head. Nose is grapefruit, bitter, lightly sticky, and sweet. Thick palate, chewy fruity hops, sweet, and a smooth finish.

(22oz bomber thanks to jjfoodie) clear light gold, sparse white bubbles. Nose of sweet candied citrus, honey, Light alcohol, bit of chlorine, spruce, rich. Taste of pine but not really bitter, ruby red grapefruit, light agave. Medium body, spicy linger perhaps from the alcohol. Terminus (3702) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JUN 19, 2012
Bottle-purchased at Davidson Liquors in Littleton, CO-pours lightly hazy bright orange with a small fizzy white head around the rim of the glass. Nose has some diacytl, very lite citrus notes (peaches, tangerines) and some lite floral aspects with a cookie like malt profile. flavors show the diacytl up front however its not long lasting-mostly lite floral aspects on the flavors not very bitter at all. however some apple notes come in the nose and flavors as it warmed a bit, which kind of bothered me. needs a better ferment. THe recipe seems pretty decent here just needs to be cleaned up. 9% is very well hidden. Becomes very cloying sweet more as it warmed a bit. alcohol is well hidden and only there a little on the finish. budznsudz (582) - Audubon, New Jersey, USA - JUN 2, 2012
This one pours a nice light amber with a whispy white head and some spotted lacing. The aroma is pleasant fruit and light hops. This drinks very smoothly with a sweet malt backbone with just a small kick of hoppy bitterness and a touch of pine needle and sweet fruit to round it out. Very refreshing and hides the alcohol well. sonnycheeba (6214) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAY 31, 2012
Tap. Pours clear gold with average, fizzy white head; good retention and some lacing. Aroma is grassy and floral hops, cereal and biscuit malt, citrus fruit, pine, herbs, and faint funk. Flavor is balanced malt and hops (light bitterness) with faint citrus esters; dry finish. Medium body, carbonation, and warmth. MrRomero (1976) - Nolanville, USA - MAR 31, 2012
Poured into a tulip glass from a bomber. Sparkling orange colored with a mid-sized off-white head. Big citrus and pine notes. Flavor was quite piney with the aforementioned citrus notes. Nicely balanced sweetness with bittering hops. Mild bitter finish. Very nice.
