22oz bottle, shared by alexsdad06. 2013 vintage, with an $18.99 sticker on it. Labeled 10.5%. Big dark fruit, sherry up front, touch of peat in the nose. Oooh, the taste that follows is nicer than the smell, I think. Richer, with nice caramel, vanilla, mild spiciness. Moderate to bigger sweet taste, some heat, mild bite to it. Mild to moderate bitter. Hazy brown color. Minimal head. Medium to bigger body, nice full feel. Good full body. Mild dry finish. Lighter carbonation. Pretty awesome barleywine. If we’re talking fruit, I can see the candied apricot here. Fun beer. I usually don’t care for aged beer, but this guy did alright. coachd (888) - Missouri, USA - DEC 31, 2015
Boozy port wine/sherry aroma. Looks like cola with absolutely no fizz. Boozy caramel flavor. Excellent palate. Glad I didn't age this one, it is not overly strong when fresh.

Bomber shared by Brad, thanks. Cloudy caramel pour. Super sweet boozy aroma. Taste is so smooth, sweetness really hides the booze. Awesome barleywine. Bacterial (3027) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - DEC 12, 2015

Aged 3 years (2012 edition). Murky deep brown with no head. Lovely deep aroma of date and plum and gentle barrel notes. Smooth and lovely sweet flavor of light caramel, playing up some date and raisin, a little booze, a little coconut, a little oak. Smooth and clean and fruity and sweet and dark. Bottle thanks to Bruce. It pours cloudy deep brown with a decent beige head. The nose is sweet, candy, caramel, big toffee vibe, earth, cocoa, vanilla, fudge and coffee cake. The taste is sweet, slick, toasty brown sugar, booze, vanilla, big toffee action, nougat, wood, fudge, chewy malt and some warming finish. Medium - full body and moderate carbonation. Sweet, yes, but very enjoyable nonetheless. Nice one. koleminer20 (3798) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - AUG 30, 2015
Enjoyed at an all barley wine tasting at Travis’s house on February 21. Pour from a 22 oz bottle. The pour is a cloudy mahogany with a finger of beige head leaving some light lace. The aroma is pretty complex actually. There are good notes of caramel, toffee, dark fruits, and a little whiskey burn. There is a nice oakiness on the back end. The flavor is very similar. Great fruit, toffee, whiskey, and a hint of vanilla. There might be a hint of oxidation, but it’s not really prevalent at all. The mouth feel is decently viscous and oily with a soft carbonation and a lingeringly hot aftertaste. Not too bad MarcoDL (5139) - NETHERLANDS - JUN 26, 2015
Botle @ ZEBF 2015. Barley wine with a heavy focus on caramelly vanilla and dark fruit, both in aroma and in taste. Good one. caesar (7165) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - JUN 21, 2015
Bottle @ Zeebra 2015, small sample. Slight hazy amber to copper color, short head. Aroma of caramel and toffee, slight fruity. Soft sweet in taste, soft bitterness as well. Not as overly sweet as some barley wines can be, but more focussed on the malts. Nice stuff.
