Bottle thanks to Tom. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head that leaves spotty lacing. The aroma is strong roast, toffee, vanilla. Medium mouth, sweet roast, dark fruit, candy sugar, vanilla, light booze finish, really enjoyed this one. Rich amber with a moderate beige covering.
Nose is rich fruitcake, spice, toffee, dates.
Taste comprises light barrel, caramel, fruit cake, toffee, dates, sweet licks.
Full bodied, oily feel, light warming alcohol in the close.

22oz 2014 9.4% bottle. Poured a deep cloudy super dark blackish brown with a smaller piss foamy head. Aroma is vanilla, toffee, molassess, dried sugary dark fruits, barrel and a slight hint of Scotch. Medium to full body, soft to almost non carbonation and sort of a flat body. Flavor is nice but doesn’t live up to the aroma. Notes of butterscotch, toffee, molasses, dark fruits and scotch. Not digging the mouthfeel on this but it’s probably just me as I’m going through some shit right now and haven’t even eaten in 30 hours or so. Bottle shared during the RBWG 2015 Grand Tasting. Pours clear amber with a foamy off-white head. Sugary sweet with lots of caramel, bready malts, toffee. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish, sticky, with lots of gooey ripe fruits and further caramel. Tasty though not especially nuanced.

Pours very clear red-brown with a frothy head.
Excellent aroma. Plenty of toffee and burnt sugar in the nose.

22 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy mahogany with a small beige head. Nose is complex with notes of whiskey barrels, toffee, caramel, and dark fruits. On tap at Old Chicago on College. Appearance: finger of tan head, soil brown color, cloudy, good lacing. Aroma: raisin, earthy and musty, alcohol, oak-y, molasses. Palate: full body, oily texture, soft carbonation, alcohol warming on the finish. Taste: sweet raisin and molasses malt that carries and stays very earthy into an alcoholic taste and finish that balances the drink out. Overall, alcohol comes through quite a bit, but it helps with the balance. Really enjoyable beer in small amounts, 12 oz. pour was too much for me.
