Tap at hops and pie. Hazy red amber with no head. Aromas of caramel, dark fruit, honey, whiskey, light vanilla and booze. Flavor is sweet caramel, plum, and honey, light vanilla and some warming whiskey on the end. Medium bodied, with a lingering dark fruit. RobertDale (6755) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - MAR 5, 2014
22 ounce shared bottle. Pours a cloudy reddish brown with a very small tan head. Aroma of malt, fruit, caramel, and whiskey. Taste is caramel malt, dark fruit, whiskey, and wood. On the sweet side. Nice. ASak10 (56) - Colorado, USA - MAR 1, 2014
As others have said, very little carbonation and head, disappears immediately. No matter, it's amazing. Toffee and coconut, sweet aroma with a hint of the booze and barrel. Flavor is like the aroma, sweet with just a little bitterness right at the end. Sweet and boozy in the best way. Syrupy and sticky. A very very good BA barleywine, well done Dry Dock.

Poured from a 22 ounce bomber. There is a huge coconut aroma, bourbon, toffee, sugar. The flavor is toffee, bourbon, dried fruits, brown sugar, sweet coconut. This its not the prettiest beer, cloudy, no head, but still tasty. Daytonbeer (730) - Ohio, USA - DEC 16, 2013
Pours dirty, murky brown with no head. Aroma of bourbon, sugar, and booze. Taste is the same with dark fruit and feel of a port wine with whiskey taste. Very nice.

Poured from 22oz bottle. Pours a murky brown dolor with no head at all. Aroma is coconut, toffee and bourbon. Taste follows with a lot of sweetness and a huge rye character. I liked it, but didn’t love it like most of my other BA barleywines. AdamChandler (5150) - Enfield, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 18, 2013
Bomber, 2012 Vintage released October so this is just over a year old in the glass, and almost 2 years old from brew date. Enjoyed in a 20ounce stemmed glass at 55F

A - Pours an oaky bronze color out of the bottle. Murky brown to black in the glass.
S - Sweet, toffee like, cotton candy and whiskey booziness. Smells quite boozy.
T - Very similar to Firestone Walker Sucaba but much sweeter and much less balance. Lots of caramel, hints of coconut and licorice with cheap candy sweetness and bakers chocolate. A hint of Aunt Jemima syrup and some charred oak but not a lot. Just a bit of figs and cloves.
M - Completely flat, toffee sticky mouth feel on the swish
O - I probably won’t finish the bottle. It’s good but much too sweet for me.
Pours an extremely hazy reddish brown with almost no head but lots of tiny bubbles hitting the surface. Looks like there may be a fair amount of sediment in the bottle. Aroma of oats, raisins and hay. Rich flavor of carmel and raisins. Very smooth in the mouth. Pretty easy to drink given the very strong flavor and high alcohol content. That said, this is definitely more of a sipping beer than something you want to drink a full pint of. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - SEP 11, 2013
Bottle from 2012:   Deep caramel, thin frothy tannish head, spotty lacing.   Certainly looks to be of some age.   Big sweet toffee and caramel nose.   Otherwise graham cracker, with a hint of whiskey and coconut.   Up front its a smooth caramel malt backing, strong, warming with some whiskey notes bringing up the backside.   Brown sugar and caramel, light coconut that I got on the nose.   Graham cracker is also present.   Smooth, but not too coating, body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Big caramel finish, a little musty, but at least this one was English all the way.   Tasty! peteinSD (1469) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 7, 2013
’12 bottle. Rusty caramel pour with a scattering of off-white foam. Aroma is decadent raisin and date with clean, dry whiskey and vanilla. Taste is clean whiskey with oak and vanilla followed by raisin and dark fruit with some hop bitterness in the finish. Smooth and coating. Good beer.
