Bomber. Caramel malt aroma with notes of candi sugar, dark fruit, cherry, toffee and vanilla. Pours caramel colored with a thin tan head that has no retention and very little lacing. Starts with sweet caramel, toffee, and candi sugar flavors though a little thin on the body. Finishes smooth with nice dark fruit and cherry flavors with a bit of vanilla before ending with a bit of boozy warmth. Quite nice.
Draught at the brewery. Pours clear tawny with a medium, frothy off-white head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is booze, stone fruits, cookie and caramel malt. Flavor is cookie and caramel malt, alcohol, dates, figs, vanilla and a dry finish. Full body and medium carbonation. coachd (945) - Missouri, USA - DEC 29, 2015
Aroma is a little weak. Has all the traditional quad characteristics but I wanted more. Taste is much like the aroma it's a little weak. Bonus point for a booze burn. Good not great. Slightly disappointing.

Slightly hazy copper with a thin beige head. Nose has a bit of banana bread, dates, a touch of booze, and Belgian copper malts. Big smooth flavor of banana bread, date, raisin, a small bit of clove and anise, and boozy dates and maybe a touch of light cherry.

Draft at the North brewery. Pours hazy ruby brown with a fizzy, bubbly beige head. Tastes like dried dark fruits, bubblegum, banana, booze, roasted and earthy malt. Snifter at the brewery - dark purple - lively carbonation - nose of plum, raisin, toffee, and treacle - quite sweet in aroma - the flavor is similar - kind of sugary - the yeast is at least fairly expressive on the back end, with strong spice, pepper, cobweb - however, the front end sticky toffee sweetness is hard to get past - needs some drying out so the yeast can bring more complexity and it won’t be as cloying. drjay44 (3855) - Salida, Colorado, USA - NOV 19, 2015

Pours a thin light beige head, with slight lacing, over a clear light copper (SRM 15) nobody.....nose is heavy toasted malts, with plum, raisin, fig, mild hops, balance to the malts........taste is sweet, with heavy dried fruits including raisin, plum, fig, also troffee/caramel notes, mild fruity esters arrive with light spices including allspice, finishing with light herbal hop bitterness......mouth feel, medium body, alcohol warmth present, carbonation makes a creamy mouthful. This is a quite sweet example of the style and needs better attenuation. Less fermentabeles, lower fermentation temperature or a different yeast. BJCP 7/3/13/4/6
