Poured from can. Pours black with tan head. Aroma is strong vanilla, very sweet, chocolate, desserty. Taste is sweet, medium-full bodied, not overly heavy but has great flavor, medium carbonation. Overall, very good. kambei70 (1158) - - DEC 26, 2014
Pours an opaque dark brown body with a medium beige head. Aroma of vanilla, chocolate, caramel, and roasted malt. Flavor of vanilla, baking cocoa, roasted malt, and toasted grain with a dry finish.

I agree with other comments that this beer lacks body. However, there is no mistaking the vanilla in this beer. Creamy and dense foam atop the nearly black brew. Vanilla and bourbon notes attack the palate and you can just feel the chocolate as the sip ends. Finish has some phenolic ticks at the end. bpat2011 (12) - Oklahoma, USA - NOV 25, 2014
I've had this several times, but I'm basing my rating on my most recent experience.
Bomber poured into two snifters.
Vanilla attacks your nose. I was filled with anticipation hoping that it would be a dark, silky, power bomb of a porter supplemented by sweet vanilla, but I was a little disappointed. Not by a lack of vanilla. That is definitely there. Instead I was disappointed by the light nature of the beer. If this thing were beefed up a bit, it would be outstanding. That's just me though. It's very drinkable the way it is. BOSSbrewer (2705) - Arkansas, USA - OCT 29, 2014
Bottle at a tasting thanks to Butler. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is vanilla and rich milk chocolate. Dark fruit. Flavor is mildly bitter with more dark chocolate than vanilla. Finishes dry.

22oz Bottle brought back from my Denver trip. Clear deep brown and a nice dense creamy light tan head. Sweet cocoa and vanilla aroma. Light bitter chocolate and plenty of vanilla in the flavors. Not exactly robust and fairly light and sweet. Some wet brown paper malt flavors at the end, and I think a little under bittered. djd07 (16452) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUL 3, 2014
Bottle thanks to Rick. Pours a dark amber ruby with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong vanilla, roast, and chocolate. Medium mouthfeel with rich malt and light sweetness. Good. zoucrew102 (2310) - - MAR 30, 2014
Bomber. Chocolate aroma with notes of roasted barley and vanilla. Pours dark brown almost black with a thin, light brown head that dissipates quickly and minimal lacing. Sweet chocolate malt to start with toasty flavor and a hint of coffee. Finishes smooth with a good amount of vanilla. Lacks the rich mouthfeel of most most porters, but still very tasty. Bomber bottle poured a clear deep dark brown hue w/ large fizzy tan. Moderate to bold vanilla aroma. Initial flavor is a light sweet w/ a light bitter finish. Tastes are vanilla bean, light roast coffee, cereal, and brown sugar. Medium bodied, watery mouthfeel - not thin, and lively carbonation. XmnwildX12 (2079) - Farmington, Minnesota, USA - OCT 15, 2013
Bottle from Argonauts, Big aroma of chocolate, cocoa, and great vanilla. Taste is similar, light body for a porter, excellent!
