8th October 2008. On tap at the Falling Rock. Another nice IPA at this splendid boozer! This is pretty hoppy but is offset by a good level of fruit. 3fourths (9350) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 10, 2008
Draft @ Falling Rock. Unfiltered bright orange. Nose is sharp and prickly fermented oranges (is this what pruno smells like?), cedar shavings, pine, lemon juice, very aggressive and assertive... unfortunately it’s highly astringent and corrosive, the hop bitterness seems completely detached from what malt body is there. Decent enough as a hop delivery vehicle, but it seems to be a little thrown-together. BrockLanders (780) - Panama City, Florida, USA - OCT 8, 2008
tap offering at Falling Rock. Looks like most DIPAs of the tap...hazy gold, smallish off-white head that dissipated quickly. Bold hoppy nose, citrus, light evergreen. LIght malt in the flavor, more citrus, and a load of bitterness. Tasty, but doesn’t quite match the Hopsickle and Pliny offered up next to it. Nice beer though. On tap @ Falling Rock poured a hazy orange with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, pine and light grapefruit rind. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, pine and light grapefruit rind with a smoothdry lingering bitter finish.
