On tap @ Főzdefeszt 2012 june - Opaque black colour with a stable beige head. Strong aromas of coffee, cocoa, burnt breadcrust and ash with some herbal hops. Taste is very bitter with coffee, caramel and chocolate notes. Herbal hop bitterness in the end. Light body, moderate carbonation and a long dry finish with a lot of hop bitterness. I miss the refreshing citrussy hop aromas, but its still a great brew.
On tap @ Csakajósör 2014 spring - Black colour, nice beige head with lacing. Lot of chocolate and coffee aromas with resinous and herbal hops. Smoother than the first batch, nice chocolate and cocoa taste with some citrussy, resinous hops. Creamy body, average carbonation, bitter finish. Improved, nice. mrjambrik01 (7) - Budapest, - MAY 9, 2014 does not count
Nagyon különleges, szerettem nagyon. Kicsit csokis és nekem kissé krémes, kellemes, hosszan tartó utóízzel. Gratula Marko (5711) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - APR 18, 2014
UPDATED: APR 19, 2014 Batch 2 - 6%. On tap @CAJS, of course, thanks Armando! Very dark brown, almost black body,. Medium sized off white head. Slightly mild aroma, caramel/chocolate notes (did I imagine that?) with some slightly dank hopiness and maybe lemon. Nice, full creamy body, the biggest improvement from the original. Mild roastiness (Armando said that this one is intentionally less roasty, and it’s perhaps true, but I still thought some was present) and nice hoppy notes, bitter lemon peel, quite well balanced. Long, lasting fine herbal bitter finish, slightly peppery at some point. Nothing off about it (did think I caught some slightly soapy note, but nothing to complain about), and while it doesn’t dazzle you with overtly flashy flavors, this is another great beer from Gergely - great job!Mjp12 (1864) - York, North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - APR 9, 2014

Batch 1 - 4.5% Draft at the F-Fest. Poured an almost black body with an off whtie head. Coffee in the nose, sweet maltiness, some herbal-agrumey aroma hops too. nice roastiness getting bludgeoned by herbal hopiness, quite dry, and it’s just 4.5% wow! Softly rounded, maybe a touch soapy. The coffee and roasty notes are sorta superior to some aspects of the hopiness, but it’s a damn nice beer for its class! Thanks to armando for giving another sample too :).
Draught from cask a Jo sar . Dark ipa, good dry hop kick , very drinkable, very tasty . kapusil (1432) - Budapest, HUNGARY - APR 8, 2014
On tap. Black body, creamy beige head. Aroma and taste of cocoa, caramel, chocolate and fruity hops. The aroma is a bit sulfury but not that disturbing. Other than that it’s a well made beer.

dark brown colour, significant amount of creamy beige head; aroma of intensive chocolate, coffee, resiny notes; taste is the same; as always, excellent beer from master armando ogreface (1390) - Budapest, HUNGARY - FEB 8, 2013
Very interesting brew. Lovely dark black liquid with coffee-like head. Strong, bitter aroma with chocolate and coffee and some bitter hops. Taste is very, very, very bitter with coffee and chocolate notes. I can recommend it for both the fans of chocolate-like imperial stouts and bitter IPA’s too. Delicious. Wasn’t sure what to expect from a black Ipa. Turned out a very interesting mix of a nutty black ale mixed with hoppy and bitter notes. The finish was oily and filled with alcohol. Very enjoyable.
