Bottle at home. 1 year old. Has a slightly cloudy, dark straw colour with a medium, off-white head. Pretty carbonated. Sweet aroma with citrus, Belgian yeast, pale malt and pears. The flavour has more pale malt, Belgian yeast, warming alcohol and some spices. Slick mouth feel, and has a light bitterness. A sweet and balanced tripel.

Bottle (33cl) from Vinmonopolet, Oslo. Hazy, light amber colour. Inch-thick white head, fairly good retention, leaves a thick film and a band of bat-shaped lacing. Complex aroma of fermented fruit, yeast, burnt plastic (phenolic), melted butter, caramel, vegetables, tangerines. Medium body, soft carbonation. Semi-sweet ’deep’ fruity taste with some dust/cellar associations, mild bitterness, pleasant acidity. Fruity-bitter aftertaste.
