UPDATED: JUN 20, 2015 Pours a hazy golden colour with a big foamy white head. Aroma of fruits, yeast, spices, coriander, hops. Flavour is medium fruity sweetness. Sweet spicy bitterness in the aftertaste. Rather typical Belgian Strong Ale stuff, but good brew just the same.

Bottled, 33 cl.
Hazy deep golden colour, fine pored lasting white foam.
Spicy, lemony nose.
Tasteing starts crisp followed by a fruity aroma with peach, lemon and honey underpainted by peppery alcohol, mouthfeel is syrupy.
Long dry and warming finish escorted by some tart citrusses and spicy hops.

Hazy yellow color, decent off-white head. Watermelon, citrus in the fruity aroma. Medium-bodied. Fruity, watermelony, typical triple. Not too alcoholic.

In terms of aroma one of the nicest I’ve encountered so far. Something fruity or like a fruity shampoo. Even at a small distance notable and quite a nice smell. Good appearance, nicely honey-colored with a clear white foam. This foam layer lasts quite a long time and forms a small layer throughout the entire tasting experience of about half an hour. So far so good. Next the taste. Light to medium on both sweet (fruity) and bitter. Unfortunately this is pretty much monotone. Nothing special going on. This defines the difference between this decent tripel and the better ones around. Overall still a good beer.

Appearance: Hazy or almost cloudy yellow color with a creamy white head that leaves an ok lacing.
Aroma: Mild citric, light spicy, fruity and mild yeast.
Palate: Medium + body. Slightly sweet, and a moderate bitterness. Rich carbonation.
Taste: Citric, malty, mild banana, yeast and some spices. Some alcohol.
Overall impression: Tasty powerful tripel.
Personal stats: Bottle Vinmonopolet Vika in Oslo, Norway.

(Havnabakken, 22.08.13)

31.05.2013. 0,33l Bottle. Vinmonopolet Haugesund. Abv is 9,7%. Golden yellow colour with white head. Aroma is malty with lots of sweet floral hoppiness. Very strong beer with lots of alcohol combined with rather rich malty body. Very good balance for a beer this strong. Aftertaste is warm and rich with pale soft malts, sweetness and soft bitterness. Pleasant but strong beer!

Bottle @ home. Clear golden pour, creamy white head. Aroma is a bit dusty, fruity, slightly spicy and peppery. Flavor is sweetish fruity, spicy and quite smooth. Bitter in the finish. Nice brew.

Yves (3150) - Turnhout, BELGIUM - MAY 19, 2013
Hazy golden coloured beer with small white head and no carbonation visible. Malty fruity and alcoholic aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is sweet bitter spicy.
