Scopey (15878) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 10, 2017
Bottle at CBC Islington, thanks to Fergus. It pours hazy orange - amber with a massive white head. The aroma is bready, brioche, cereal, touch of banana, cereal, nougat and candied citrus. The taste is dry, bitter ,earthy, woody, pithy citrus, grassy, soda water, minerals, dirt, must and barnyard. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. Perhaps a bit wishy-washy. Carbonation is also far too high. Fair.

Craft Islington Bottleshare, thanks to Fergus. Very hazy gold beer, massive cream colour head. Palate is airy and dry. Dry malts, a very light creamy sweetness. Dry bitter seltzer. Bitter fruits underneath. Dry finish. Hard to drink.

Leighton (22550) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 29, 2017
Bottle shared in London - thanks to Fergus. Pours hazy orange-gold with a big, fluffy white head. Dry, pithy citrus on the nose, crispy grains. Light sweet flavour with strong grassy bitterness, lots of husky grains, old lemon rind. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Dry and bitter in the finish, more grass, husky grains. So so.

PowY (1127) - AUSTRIA - JUN 25, 2017
750 ml bottle, shared by Saeglopur, many thanks. Pours a pretty hazy amber with a large, slightly off-white head. The aroma is lightly fruity with citric fruits (mandarin, orange) and lightly herbal. Light to medium body with a low carbonation and a medium to heavy, lingering bitterness. The flavor is lightly malty (bread) and again lightly fruity (grapefruit, unripe tart berries). Dry and astringent finish. Unfortunately, the high bitterness basically overpowers everything else in the beer.

750 ml bottle from Etre Gourmet, bb 03/2019.

Dark amber, hazy, a bit murky body, with a big, creamy, light beige head.

Aroma of citrus, flowers, sweet berries, some tropical fruits, some grass, some soap.

Tastes of bitterness, grapefruit, citrus, peach, berries, some tropical fruits, some grass, slight soap.

Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.

Finishes pretty bitter, almost a bit medical, medium dry, zesty, floral, grassy, bit piney.

OK. Feels quite unbalanced for me, even a bit unclean. The bitterness is too dominant and there are some soapy notes I don’t like that much. Was expecting more.

Aroma/Appearance/Taste/Palate/Overall: 6/3/6/3/12

Svesse (8825) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JUN 6, 2017
(Draught at Nüetnigenough, Brussels, 19 May 2017) Hazy brownish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, hoppy nose with toast, orange peel and citrus. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of toast, citrus, roasted malt, resin, dark bread and a balanced citric bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty, but and bit muddy and roasty (might be the last in the keg). Quite nice, though.
