Smooth sweetish nose. The beer starts mild roasted, very fresh with fruity hints. Not too deep, dry bitter in the aftertaste, caramel, bitter hops. Nice.

Bottle sample @ LIBF’17, thanks to the RB-InBev Belgian crew for the share.

Intensiver Kaffeeantrunk, dabei weich malzig, trocken hopfig. Angenehm würzig, die trockenen Kaffeenoten bleiben konstant. Vollmundig, langer Nachhall. Nett. 10/9/10/10/7/9

bartlebier (3946) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - DEC 4, 2016
(Backlog BBF 2016, tap). Rough-hewn RIS fuming with Belgian pathos, distilling coffee grounds into a fruity Kahlua cocktail. Adds some tar, fondant, meat and ash to familiar De Struise territory with a more global, resinous hop bill working in the back, less precise restraint among the Motor oil abundance. Out to impress rather than seduce, an easy feat for any berserker.

SeniorZozo (1841) - Budapest, HUNGARY - OCT 13, 2016
Tap @ Tap. @ Barboteur Beer Days #1 Brussels. Dark brown colour, beige foam. Lots of coffee and oats. Sweet and bitter with lots of roastiness. Easy drinkable, not thick. Good and interesting stout.

That’ll be me 20K then @ ChrisO’s. Clear deep amber beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Palate is light, semi dry and has mild fine carbonation. Sweetish dark malts. Touch of spicy honey. Tangy bitterish dried fruits. Light semi dry finish. Okay, a bit raw.
