Pale toffee colour with very nice head. Sweet aroma with tones of tomato, shellfish, smoked chili and tea. Roasted coffee flavor with tones of dark chocolate, metal, and smoked salami.

Lots of dark, malty aroma. Dark, ruby colored. The dark, rich malt goes in the flavor too. I like it!

Bottled: Dark red/brown coloured. Thin brownish head. Liquirice, malt, caramel and sweetness in the aroma. Roasted malt, light cocoa and spices in the flavour. Has a nice full mouthfeel. Is light bitter in the end. Reminds me a little of a dunkel in its character.

A red beer with a good head. The aroma is very nice malty, spicy, and fruity. The flavor is soft malty like red beers usually are. It end of quite bitter. A really nice beer, that I definatly will have again.

Brautiful appearance. Very malty and a sweet finish. Alike to the English ales. Very tasty and very easy-drinkable.

Full-bodied, roasted flavour. A bit on the sweet side.

Gusler (2653) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - SEP 14, 2001
Dark ruby red, with a generous beige head, and fine lace. Big malt nose with toasted tones, and a light carbonation. Malt at the start, slightly sweet at the top, fair hop presence and some what dry at the finish, quite a unique beer I think, and quite tastey.

3.9
Oakes (17642) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 17, 2001
Full-bodied, complex earthy, malty flavour. Lots of crystal malt and a dryish finish. Top stuff.
