Had it on draft in Dublin. Spectacular. Nice roasted flavor with some unlying malt sweetness. Very nice balance and polite finish. I was lucky enough to have a good barman run the glass under hot water before he poured the pint; the roast and smoke lept out of the glass. If ever in Dublin stop by the cobblestone and have a pint. fiulijn (21214) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 2, 2005
Black color. Solid and balanced Stout, with good notes of malt, roasted malt and coffee. Quite high bitterness. AAO (102) - Næstved, DENMARK - JAN 4, 2005

Almost black colour, quite flavorfull, sharp and bitter, very roasty, not much more going on, a decent dry stout. mrkimchee (1414) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 20, 2004
black with red hints, huge tan head. aroma of rye brad, roasty malt, mocha, smoke and coffee. smooth mouthfeel with a flavour that’s roasty yet soft. bitter choclate and burnt sugar in the flavour with substantial roasty bitterness. very nice. thanks dave.

Pours almost black with some deep red hues. Soft tawny cream head. Piles of chocolate and coffee in the aroma. Quite bitter. Molases and plenty of deep roasted malts. Not as nasty as I thought it would be, but it was nice. Long roasted finish. Great dry stout. HopsOrDie (687) - New Lenox, Illinois, USA - SEP 8, 2004
Black with lots of fine carbonation. Light brown head. Very roasted flavor and aroma. The palate is lacking and seemed way to thin. jercraigs (10886) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 6, 2004
Black with ruby tinges, with a chocolate milk coloured head. Coffee and dark bitter chocolate in the aroma. Flavour is dry with roasty coffee like astringency in the finish. Palate is smooth, lighter than I like my stouts but nice. Thanks for sharing Crockett. Sammy (12753) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 6, 2004
Very good dark brown and foamy appearance and head. Bitter chocolate, roasted malt, lquorice, smoke. Pure style. Not your everday American or even UK stout. A bitter but well worth trying. Hard to get, so thank you crockett for sharing. PetetheMeat (621) - Hove, DENMARK - AUG 26, 2004
Dark brown stout. Tall beige, lasting head. Brown sugar aroma. Rich flavour with liquorice, some chocolate, smoke? very hoppy dry finish. Watery palate.
