Black color, light coffee liquorice aroma and taste, full body, long bitter finish. Hansen (8617) - Assentoft, DENMARK - JUL 28, 2004
A real good stout. Lots and lots of fine maltyness in the flavor, also some in the aroma too. Perhaps it was better because it was ½ a year to old. ? Hildigöltur (5103) - København, DENMARK - JUN 30, 2004
Black coloured. Very nice roasty aroma with quite some hops present. Malty and roasty flavour with a bitter finish. rauchbier (3940) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JUN 27, 2004
Bottle, DBF 2004. Red black, good beige head and moderate condition. Pleasant fruity sweet aromas with hints of liquorice and roast barley. Sweet liqorice, roast barley and burnt toast in the mouth and a long dry chalky bitterness in the finish. Good. jfm (1724) - Holbæk, DENMARK - MAY 16, 2004
Deep brown color with a beige head. The taste is roasted malts with a wellbalanced coffee bitterness.

Black thick beer with a creamy head, that settles from bottom up. The aroma reminds me of rye bread and there is a hint of coffe and carmel ind taste, but it has a bit weak finish. MiP (15981) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAR 22, 2004
Almost black with a brown head. Aroma of fruit, winegum and liquorice. The taste is dominated by liquorice. Nice one. Jeppe (2634) - Brooklyn, Alabama, USA - MAR 1, 2004
A beer doesn't get prettier than this.... Very dark almost totally black body with a tall fizzling dark beige head (the darkest head I have seen on any beer..!!). The aroma is awesome, though maybe a little weak. Lots of roasted malt, liquorice and bitter chocolate. Flavor is bittersweet with notes of liquorice, hops and pilsner malt (?). A very nice stout, but needs a fuller body to be great! Dalle (1145) - Skørping, DENMARK - FEB 11, 2004
Small light brown head. Near black body. Sweetish (little flowery?), dry and bitter finish. Smooth, low carbonation. LoveCaissa (873) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 5, 2004
Wow - Guinness go home! This is one great stout. Deep, deep brown colour, light brown head. Lovely roasted aroma with plenty of chocolate. HUGE flavour: chocolate, dark fruits, and a massive dry, bitter finish. More complex and sweeter than Guinness I would say, but not too much due to the plentiful hops.
