0.5l glass. Not a good beer for one of my favourite styles. Very soft taste and very light in the palate. I like weizen beer with a strong body. Tha cabonation is good.

Had this on draft in Hamburg. Definitely one of the better darker Weizen beers I’ve had with a very pleasant flavor. Clear banana aroma and flavor. I preferred it over their original.

Aroma: bananas, cloves, some herbal notes. Appearance: hazy amber color and creamy head. Taste: bananas, cloves, zesty notes, quite dry, roasted. Palate: low body and medium carbonation, zesty finish. Overall: Quite decent (dunkles) weizenbier, some herbal notes.

hauxe (757) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - JUL 25, 2016
Pours dark orange brown from the bottle. The average sized head soon fades, but a thin creamy top lingers for the duration. The aroma goes in the usual directions with the wheat malt and yeasty notes being evident. Banana is also present, but remains relatively subdued. The saphir and perle hops are, according to the label, supposed to play a defining role here. To my nose they remain very much in the background. Perhaps I was expecting too much. The taste is wheat malt, banana, clove. Finish is dry and unremarkable. A fairly conventional Weizen in the end. Still, this is pleasant sipping. No problem drinking more of these. A touch more carbonation would be nice.
