12oz. My bottle is labeled 5.7% ABV. Clear red / brown color, nice cinnamon nutmeg spice taste. Complements the malty toastiness of the dunkel well. Makes for an interesting brew. No head or lace. Soft, smooth carbonation. Clean finish, good spice aftertaste. Little sediment at the bottom. Cool way to do a dunkel. 3fourths (9351) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - NOV 14, 2007
Sampled from a growler. Rusty brown color body with a slight haziness, maybe 15-20% opaque, and a small-forming thin off-white head. At first I got a whiff of strawberries in the nose, but it turned more towards a perfumy, floral munich malt smell after a bit, with lingering notes of the strawberries and maybe some juniper and allspice. Light, perfumy and chewy, that’s basically this beer in three words, and maybe the fourth word could be spicy, but it’s pretty tame. Finishes with some grain husk flavors, and again very light general/allspice flavors.
