Draught: Pours a black color with a tan head. Aroma was light chocolate. Taste was smooth with chocolate and a weak coffee hint to mix it up. Very drinkable with the low alcohol.

Faint hints of coffee on the nose. Pours nearly black with a thin brownish white head that disappears quickly. Getting some chocolate on the tongue but it feels thin. Not making much of an impact for me.

On tap at Duclaw, Bowie on 14 July 2006. Very dark brown - almost black - and nearly opaque. Lots of creamy coffee in the aroma. More of the same on the palate. Some powdery cocoa and burnt malt too. Smooth and mellow. A very decent and enjoyable porter.

Draught at Bel Aire Pub: Aroma of coffee, light roasted malt, chocolate, and slight cream. Poured extremely dark brown/ruby in color with a medium-sized, cream, dense, light brown head that lasted throughout. Clear. Sparkling. Flavor is medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Tastes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, some grain, and slight cream. Light to medium body. Very thin texture. Average carbonation. Chocolate, roasted malt, light coffee, and slight cream finish is a tad dry.

I had this beer a while back and from what I can remember I enjoyed it. Ive had this at the pub/brewery so it was fresh. Nothing special about it is popping into my head at the moment.

Two 4oz samples (one nitro, one not) from a flight. Pour is deep cola with lovely beige head (both pours), but there is fantastic lacing on the nitro. Nose is a mix between milk and dark chocolate, roasted malts, toffee, coffee, and raisins. Taste is very close to the nose and rides an almost Yoo-hoo finish. This one is very tasty and I could easily over indulge in its goodness. This is one of the better porters Ive had because of the artistic level of balance.

Deep brown/black color, tan head. Strong coffee, more like a stout... Not smooth. Medium body, finish lingers, but is nice. Solid beer, but style is a question.
