Draft at BWI. Dark brown, small beige head. Aroma of coffee grounds and caramel. Tastes like a dilute Starbucks coffee soda, if there is such a thing.

20100726 tap at Bel Air location. Darkest brown, light haze, with lacing, sticky beige head. Aroma is loaded with coffee, burnt bread, mild floral perfumes. Pretty hefty on the palate, but quite dry and after a bit even becoming nicely ashy. Finishes with a long drying bitterness, a bit of dry grass, and retronasally persistent coffee. Nice stuff.

On tap at Bowie location. Pours very dark brown with small tan head. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, and some coffee. Flavors of heavily roasted malts, coffee, and lots of bitter chocolate. Finishes really bitter and dry. Not the most drinkable porter, but flavorful none-the-less.

CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - JUN 17, 2009
Tap at Arundel Mills in Mar 2008: Pours a barely transparent dark mahogany with a thin light tan head. Aroma of sweet earthy dark caramel and chocolate malts with some smoky complexity. Body starts sweet and smooth with nice roasty smoky flavor befoer a more bittersweet, fairly full dark chocolatey finish. A very nice porter.

Draft @ Bel Air location in April 2008. Tastes and smells of coffee, chocolate, and bitter, roated malts. Nice balance of these elements, but not enough of them to make this one really outstanding. An enjoyable beer though.

Draft - Black pour with a tan head. A very nice aroma of chocolate and coffee. An excellent porter. Typically not my favorite style, this was excellent and full of sweet malt flavor.

Growler. This is some decent stuff. Roasty, chocolatey, malty, silky goodness. A fine porter that, thankfully, is one of their standard beers.

Color is dark with a cream head. Smelled like a stout. Taste was roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, and caramel. It was like guinness but stronger and with more flavor. A solid porter over all. I enjoyed it!
