Aroma is nice a chocolaty,roasty-coffee,slight metallic twinge.Nice looking stout that had a pleasant roasted barley taste with some choco-coffee present. Some hops at the end with a pumped Co2 vibe though the palate was creamy and easy.Good session stuff. guzzler67 (1696) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - MAR 15, 2005
Thin, mocha color head with a subdued aroma that was primarily roasted malt and coffee. The taste was a blend of chicory stout and sweet stout, with the slightly bitter, aromatic qualities you would expect from the former and the smoothness, sweetness, and body you typically find in the latter. Well carbonated with a lingering finish. Tasty. scraff (2125) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAR 13, 2005
UPDATED: MAR 15, 2005 5.5% ABV - Pitch black, tan creamy head. Nose held notes of roasted espresso, chocolate, cream, light vanilla and toast. Very well balanced, roasty, with a light hop bitterness at the finish. Medium bodied, pillow soft carbonation, dry roasted coffee finish. An outstanding example of the dry Irish stout. Nice job Jim...
