Bottle, shared by Papsoe. It pours a beautiful, clear, dark amber to copper body under a small, dense, beige head. The aroma is quite nice, a rich caramel maltyness, some beef stock and pine cones as well as a touch of alcohol. The flavor is quite sweet, with a nice bitterness, a hint of anise, a good dash of dried fruits and warming alcohol. Full-bodied and warming, finishing sweet, with a nice bitterness and dried fruits. A really nice barley wine, that’s for sure. 110416

Sweet malty aroma, a touch mashy. Boring mashy body. Sticky, but nice hoppy finish that tingles with bitterness. Alcohol not too prominant, which is a blessing at this strength. Underwhelmed, though. Perhaps they should have aged this for a year or two before selling it, as the mashiness is just way too young.
Bomber from Pours coppery with a small beige head. Aroma seems citrus. Full bodied with light carbonation. Quite malty but there is hop present. Ends more sweet than not, but there’s some definite bitter keeping up the good fight. Strong fight! Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 10, 2010
