COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Devils Milk is an American-style Barley Wine. This beer exhibits a wealth of fruit flavors, from pears to plums to raisins. Devils Milk is dry hopped (hops added after fermentation) for a strong bite that balances its big malt backbone. Served in a snifter glass because of the high abv, barley wines are perfect as a relaxing after-dinner drink or nitecap.

yngwie (16715) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 16, 2011
Bottle, shared by Papsoe. It pours a beautiful, clear, dark amber to copper body under a small, dense, beige head. The aroma is quite nice, a rich caramel maltyness, some beef stock and pine cones as well as a touch of alcohol. The flavor is quite sweet, with a nice bitterness, a hint of anise, a good dash of dried fruits and warming alcohol. Full-bodied and warming, finishing sweet, with a nice bitterness and dried fruits. A really nice barley wine, thats for sure. 110416

Bottle in train in Belgium - going from ZBF to DHVL. Clear amber brown - white head. Barley, lots of barley, citrus, high sweetness, ryebread, toasted, berries, karklud, wet dog, citric, grassy, sharpness, nice hoppy aroma. Too sweeet, too simple.

FatPhil (14896) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - OCT 4, 2011
Bottle (RBESGG2011, Grand Tasting)
Sweet malty aroma, a touch mashy. Boring mashy body. Sticky, but nice hoppy finish that tingles with bitterness. Alcohol not too prominant, which is a blessing at this strength. Underwhelmed, though. Perhaps they should have aged this for a year or two before selling it, as the mashiness is just way too young.

Bomber from Pours coppery with a small beige head. Aroma seems citrus. Full bodied with light carbonation. Quite malty but there is hop present. Ends more sweet than not, but theres some definite bitter keeping up the good fight. Strong fight!
