Amber body, off-white head. Mild grape and alcohol aroma. A little heavy on the sweetness side. Enjoyable. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 11, 2010
From DC Local tasting. Pours a clear bright amber like cognac. Thin white head. Aroma is spicy, caramel, very hoppy, resiny, piney. Taste is hoppy, dry, fairly bitter, some balancing caramel and honey. Very dry. Hoppy
bitterness. Not bad.

Bomber shared by iowaherkeye. Nose of light floral hops, a toffee note, and caramel. A pretty cherry rust with a small beige head. Flavor is light bitterness and toffee from the very watery body.

22oz. Bottle (at 10.6%ABV per the bottle): Aroma of malt, toasted caramel, slight toffee, and a hint of hops. Poured amber in color with a small, creamy, dense, beige head that diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Very good lacing. Flavor is light to medium sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of malt, caramel, slight hops, hint of chocolate, slight resin, sugar, and slight toffee. Full body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt, hops and caramel finish is lightly dry and slightly sticky. 10.6%ABV is completely hidden throughout. More malty than hoppy, and there is no "intense hop finish." msante79 (2225) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - JUL 23, 2010
On tap at Bowie location. Pours clear dark amber with small tan head. Aromas of sweet malt, caramel, some dark fruits, and hops. Flavor is dominated by sweet malts with some caramel, dark fruits, and hop bitterness mixed in. Finishes sweet and boozy. badnewsbeers (2312) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - AUG 27, 2010
reddish brown pour from bottle. this beer is pure caramelized sugar, resinous hops, and brown sugar. raisin in the finish. feels like a cross between and old ipa and a barley wine. mediocre but good BelgianBeerGal (4067) - Panama City, Florida, USA - SEP 9, 2010
Bottle shared in Texas by ericandersnavy. Definitely an American style because of the more pronounced hop notes but also some brown sugar, strong malts and rum to balance things out. brewersspot (97) - , California, USA - OCT 29, 2010
I had this beer a while back and from what I can remember I enjoyed it. I’ve had this at the pub/brewery so it was fresh.
Nothing special about it is popping into my head at the moment.
