RBSG07. From 32 oz. Bottle. Pours amber with a nice orange head. Aroma very floral and grapefruit. Slight malt sweetness presence. Flavour is sweet, fruity, not really raisins but close. Perfect blend. Long hoppy sweet finish. sliffy (2040) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 30, 2007
RBSG 2007: Bottle: Poured copper with a light tan head. Aroma, fruit, caramle, molasses. Flavor, spicy, caramel, some sweetness, with a good helping of fruits, some nice bitter hops on the finish. Very nice beer. NomDeBeer (414) - Maryland, USA - NOV 30, 2008
Aroma of sweet spruce and citrus hops. Pours a medium brown color with a small white head. Taste is dominated by citrus hops, pine, caramel sweetness, and the perfect amount of alcohol warmth. Mouthfeel is smooth and full-bodied with low carbonation. This is an outstanding barley wine - one of my favorites. Very enjoyable. willblake (2654) - Bel Air, Maryland, USA - FEB 14, 2009
20090207 Tap at Bel Air location. A beast of a barleywine. I’m sure I’ve had this a few times before at gatherings or whatnot, but this is the first time I’ve had it fresh and it’s better than I remembered. And fresh it was with sturdy, sweet malts, biting, intense hops, and lingering alcohol burn. Strong stuff!

Bottle at the RBESG 2011 Grand Tasting, London. Pours clear ruby with a filmy, white head. Old hops in the aroma, with notes of caramel and straight sugar. Very sweet flavor rife with toffee, fruits, malt, caramel. Awesomeish. Full bodied with average carbonation. Mildly warming finish with moderate bitterness, sweet brown sugar and caramel. Very, very good beer. ndfreak77 (126) - USA - JAN 25, 2014
My very first Barley Wine, so I do not have a comparison. Nice floral and grassy aroma. Pours medium orange and hazy with a slight head. Initial taste of sweet fruitiness gives way to a slightly bitter finish. Overall a very tasty beer that I would definitely purchase by the case or even keg. At 10.6% abv it packs a little kicks. duganc (28) - , New Jersey, USA - OCT 11, 2015
