With double the rich dark chocolate and raspberry aroma and flavors of our Naked Fish stout, and an exquisitely dry, chocolatey finish from the addition of chocolate during conditioning, its easy to become obsessed with catching this unique, monstrously flavorful stout, but be warned... you may need a bigger glass.

Dark black color with thin light brown head. Aroma and flavor have much stronger chocolate and raspberry notes in this than in the regular Naked Fish. Its much bolder and actually pretty good.

Chocolate aroma, with a hint of raspberry. Pours an opaque black with a tight tan head. The raspberry comes through much more in the flavor, balancing nicely with the chocolate notes. Theres a touch of alcohol heat thats present in the finish, but its a subdued heat. Very nice sipping beer on a cold winter night.

Bomber. Pours very dark with only a slight brown head that fades fast. All that can be said for this beer is that its a perfect replica of a raspberry chocolate sweet. Very natural, not cloying. Maybe a bit overwhelming, but a great sipper.

22 oz. bottle via trade. Pours dark brown in color with a medium sized beige head. The aroma is dark chocolate, roasted malts, raspberry and blackberry; actually pretty nice as it warmed. The flavor has dark chocolate, roasted malts that show a hint of char, and a nice raspberry fruitiness. Mouth feel is softer with a medium body and slightly dry finish.

A heavy stout with a near pitch black color; almost syrupy in texture. Has a full mouthfeel with a distinct raspberry dark chocolate taste with a hint of coffee, smokiness, and malts. Quite good.

On tap at Perch Pub, pours pitch black color with medium off white creamy head. Aromas of licorice, malt, cocoa, raspberry, and a tad of smoke. of Taste is nice and chocolate filled, with some roasted grains and malt in the middle, and a touch of fresh raspberry in the finish. Palate is nice and smooth, medium carbonation for a stout. A little bit ashy in the finish but mostly a cocoa and smoke nut flavor is left behind.

Poured into a perfect pint. 3.0 A: Black color. Two fingers of frothy light brown head. Retention is slightly below average and a small ring of lacing is left. 4.0 S: This actually smells a good bit like raspberry truffles. Deep semisweet chocolate with a solid raspberry fruitiness. Grainy malts and a supple roastiness underneath. Not super complex, but it hits the mark on what they were going for. Quite pleasant. 4.0 T: Tastes just like the nose. Raspberry truffles. Layers of dark and milk chocolate with plenty of raspberry. Somewhat dry otherwise with graininess and a light roast. 3.5 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Reasonably creamy and super smooth. My only complaint is that this would be a better experience if the body was upped. 4.0 D: Good to drink a fruited dark beer that works since most of them suck. Solid all around. Quite enjoyable. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 09-09-2012 02:52:47
