With double the rich dark chocolate and raspberry aroma and flavors of our Naked Fish stout, and an exquisitely dry, chocolatey finish from the addition of chocolate during conditioning, it’s easy to become obsessed with catching this unique, monstrously flavorful stout, but be warned... you may need a bigger glass.

Bomber courtesy of Pete (non-RB) and to some extent GT2. Pours black with a small creamy mocha head that leaves lots of trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sweet and fruity with roasted malts, dark chocolate, raspberries, blackberries, dark roast coffee, burnt cookies, cereal and hints of lemon zest. Taste is sweet and fruity with roasted malts, dark roast coffee, raspberry jam, resinous wood, hay, bitter chocolate and burnt cookies. Mouthfeel is round, very tiny tart and medium bodied. Finish is slightly sweet and fruity with roasted malts, raspberry jam, bitter chocolate and hints of sweetened coffee.

22 oz bottle - pours deep mahogany with medium-large tan head, slight crimson highlights, fully diminishing with decent lacing. Raspberry chocolate in the nose (duh) with hints of hay and grain. Raspberry aromas become more pronounced as temperature warms. Medium-full palate with tastes of light bitter chocolate, creamy long finish. Not too heavy, just right.

(Bottle) Pours dark brown to black with a nougat coloured head. The aroma holds chocolate, raspberries, blueberries, light caramel, milk, touch of liquorice and a touch of hops. The flavour is light sweet and medium bitter with creamy chocolate, light raspberries, blackberries and soft caramel. The mouthfeel is soft and almost velvety with a light to medium carbonation. Soft roasted, almost bready finish. Near medium bodied.

Looks and smells like dark chocolate in a glas. The raspberry aroma and taste didn’t come through too much, but I’m okay with that.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a dark ruby brown color with a large frothy brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted chocolate and berry aroma. Medium to heavy bittersweet toasted malt and fruit flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. My expectations where met.

Pours a dark brown, almost black color with a two finger beige head that quickly settles into a lasting ring. Spotty lacing left behind. Deeply roasted, almost acrid dark malt aroma with hints of burnt toast, dark chocolate, oatmeal, stale coffee and cigarette.  Not picking up any fruit.  Smells pretty harsh and one dimensional. Medium body with very tight carbonation.  Lots of deeply roasted, burnt  dark malt dominating the flavor with raspberry sweetness in the finish.  Hints of burnt toast, coffee, dark chocolate and oatmeal making it a bit acrid and overly roasted before the raspberry sweetness comes in.  Very intense and in dire need of some more sweetness to balance things out.

JaBier (8396) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - JUL 2, 2012
Bottle shared by a friend. Dark brown pour with a medium tan head. Strange plasticky aroma with some chocolate, roast and raspberry. Malty and chocolatey flavor with raspberry in the finish.

Drake (14332) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 20, 2012
Bomber from Wine Warehouse, Charlottesville, VA. Pours a dark brown color with a medium sized tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of big chocolate notes, mocha, roasted malts, vanilla, faint fruits and a dusty note. The taste is berries, chocolate, roasted malts, cocoa and mild hops. Medium-full bodied. Decent.
