COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With double the rich dark chocolate and raspberry aroma and flavors of our Naked Fish stout, and an exquisitely dry, chocolatey finish from the addition of chocolate during conditioning, it’s easy to become obsessed with catching this unique, monstrously flavorful stout, but be warned... you may need a bigger glass.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a dark ruby brown color with a large frothy brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted chocolate and berry aroma. Medium to heavy bittersweet toasted malt and fruit flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. My expectations where met.

Bomber from Wine Warehouse, Charlottesville, VA. Pours a dark brown color with a medium sized tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of big chocolate notes, mocha, roasted malts, vanilla, faint fruits and a dusty note. The taste is berries, chocolate, roasted malts, cocoa and mild hops. Medium-full bodied. Decent.

Tap at Max’s. Pours black with a small, fizzy light tan head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is dark chocolate, roast and coffee malt, prunes, dates and light fruity hops. Flavor is rich dark chocolate, light roast and coffee notes, dates, oak, light bitterness that seems like it would be heavier if the thick and chewey malt were less. Finish is lightly sweet then dry. Full body, low warmth and carbonation.

Bottle… Pours black with a small, creamy, beige head. The bouquet offers a decadent swirl of milk chocolate, espresso, black cherry and raspberry jam. Full-bodied with a skim-milk mouthfeel and tickling carbonation. The flavor is roasty, burnt and fruity – raspberry, dark chocolate and a splash of espresso. Finishes warming and chocolaty.

22 oz. bottle via trade. Pours dark brown in color with a medium sized beige head. The aroma is dark chocolate, roasted malts, raspberry and blackberry; actually pretty nice as it warmed. The flavor has dark chocolate, roasted malts that show a hint of char, and a nice raspberry fruitiness. Mouth feel is softer with a medium body and slightly dry finish.

Bottle shared by a friend. Dark brown pour with a medium tan head. Strange plasticky aroma with some chocolate, roast and raspberry. Malty and chocolatey flavor with raspberry in the finish.

PhillyCraft (7935) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 9, 2012
On tap at Perch Pub, pours pitch black color with medium off white creamy head. Aromas of licorice, malt, cocoa, raspberry, and a tad of smoke. of Taste is nice and chocolate filled, with some roasted grains and malt in the middle, and a touch of fresh raspberry in the finish. Palate is nice and smooth, medium carbonation for a stout. A little bit ashy in the finish but mostly a cocoa and smoke nut flavor is left behind.

3.3
kramer (6905) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 4, 2016
Pours a flat dark black body with a small fizzy brown head. The nose is pretty intense on the chocolate and roastiness with a more subtle raspberry fruitiness. The flavor is quite a bit more intense on the fruit though. Very heavy raspberry with a heavy roasted maltiness. Lots of burnt malt character to this one, with the chocolate enhancing the roastiness. Rather full bodied with a chewy texture and soft fizzy carbonation. Not so sure this is an improvement on the regular version, I think I prefer that one.

Draft: Milk chocolate nose. Black, thin fizzy head. Charred oak, cardboard, black chocolate. Perfumey, berry finish. Medium body , easy carbonation.
