UPDATED: SEP 14, 2014 Poured from bottle. Aroma of toblerone. Solid brown with a bit of tan head. Toffee, caramel, malt, nut, lager hops. Could use a bit more carbonation. Not bad. John25 (1291) - Middletown, New Jersey, USA - AUG 25, 2014
Bottle. Brown. Strong butterscotch aroma. Taste adds toffee, peanuts, and almonds. The mouthfeel is thin and light with low carb. Not bad

From a 12 oz bottle shared at the Beer Heads bottle share in Falls Church. Pours a clear deep amber with an ecru head. Nutty nose. Light toffee flavors. conway (2210) - - AUG 16, 2014

Notes of butterscotch, Brazilian pinenuts, granulated brown sugar, and just a flutter of smoked gouda that tantalizes the nostrils upon First Sniff. A buttery smooth mouthfeel - not aggressive, yet far from bashful - that lingers on the tongue like a fine double malted scotch. Tastes like sanka. Finishes clean - really, really clean and hopeful. This is a beer that knows what it wants and isn’t afraid to demand excellence. Darkmagus82 (2302) - - JUL 20, 2014
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a medium brownish-amber color with a one finger of tan colored head. The head fades super-fast leaving almost no lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is big of a toffee smell mixed with some caramel and a somewhat nutty aroma. A little bit of a grainy and bready smell and some almost honey roasted nut smells are there giving the brew a somewhat honey nut Cheerio like smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a lighter level of toffee and caramel sweetness with a decent amount of a lightly toasted bready taste. As the taste advances the sweetness fades up to the middle of the taste as more light roasted flavors and some graininess and nut come to the tongue. More toward the end the sweetness comes back in the form of a toffee and caramel flavor once again. A light earthy hop brings a dimension of slight bitterness to the brew at the end, and with a good increase in the nut, ends up leaving a rather nutty and lightly toasted flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is medium in thickness and carbonation, which overall suit the mix of nut, light roast, and toffee/caramel rather well for this 5 % abv. brew.
Overall – A rather decent and much drier then anticipated nut brown ale. Fairly nice.

Pours a dark reddish brown, not much in the way of head or lacing. Malts, caramel, brown sugar on the nose. Hints of sweet citrus, banana, molasses. A very drinkable brown ale, though I’ve had better. MarkSachon (1028) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 4, 2014
12 oz bottle. I liked the toffee flavor which goes well with a brown. Not too sweet which is a plus. Tstamba (775) - Maryland, USA - JUN 5, 2014
