Average in all aspects, it’s drinoable but not remarkable. Pours a deep amber w/ a good tan head & spotty lacing. It has a decent caramel & malty aroma. Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber body with a small fizzy beige head that left some sticky lacing. The nose is sweet fruity malt with a light roastiness. The flavor is sweet with fruity notes of plum and a bit of light roast. Some slight graininess. Very easy drinking. Lighter bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Pretty solid Scottish Ale. 12 oz. bottled 19/11/2015. Clear copper-brown with a lasting disc of spongy foam. Nose is toffee, dried grass and toast. Tastes of earthy toffee, apple, dark toast and mild smoked meat in the finish. Definitely a Sottish ale, featuring standard peaty/earthy notes and chocolate/caramel malt notes as befitting the style. Appearance is an average earthy amber-brown color with average white lacing. Aroma of soil, peat, caramel malt. Earth and caramel malt in the flavor, a nice if average rendition of the style. Subtle hint of red fruit in the finish. Interesting and well-crafted.

Draft at DuClaw Arundel Mills. Pours clear bright copper with a fizzy white head. Tastes like eaerhy and woody malt, roasted nuts, dry toast and toffee. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like toasted nutty malt, woody, earthy, with a light toffee sweetness.
