On tap at Atwater's in Baltimore, MD. Nearly clear, rubiy-brown with a thin an off-white head and good lacing. Aroma of toffee, toast and caramel. Taste of dark bread toast, caramel, nuts, a little chocolate and a hint of metal. Medium/light body and medium/high carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Average in all aspects, it’s drinoable but not remarkable. Pours a deep amber w/ a good tan head & spotty lacing. It has a decent caramel & malty aroma. The taste is a touch watery, malty, & a tad bitter. Not the greatest mouthfeel & overall pretty forgettable!

kramer (6905) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 9, 2016
Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber body with a small fizzy beige head that left some sticky lacing. The nose is sweet fruity malt with a light roastiness. The flavor is sweet with fruity notes of plum and a bit of light roast. Some slight graininess. Very easy drinking. Lighter bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Pretty solid Scottish Ale. Better than average for Duclaw.

nearbeer (5604) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 5, 2016
12 oz. bottled 19/11/2015. Clear copper-brown with a lasting disc of spongy foam. Nose is toffee, dried grass and toast. Tastes of earthy toffee, apple, dark toast and mild smoked meat in the finish. Medium body has a little too much fizz but a good balance.

eRock_2013 (511) - South Carolina, USA - JAN 20, 2016
Definitely a Sottish ale, featuring standard peaty/earthy notes and chocolate/caramel malt notes as befitting the style. Appearance is an average earthy amber-brown color with average white lacing. Aroma of soil, peat, caramel malt. Earth and caramel malt in the flavor, a nice if average rendition of the style. Subtle hint of red fruit in the finish. Interesting and well-crafted.
