On tap at unos in sampler.this might as well be a scotch. So yummy and woody with sweet honey in a ruby pour kimjongill (207) - - MAY 9, 2013
Dark orange/ruby pour into snifter with thin white head - this is a noteably beautiful beer. Aroma of fruit/malt/bourbon. Taste is much of the same, but the beer has a bit of an off-bite or edge, but I would suspect that a year or so of aging could solve that issue entirely. Otherwise a very solid bourbon barrel aged barleywine. It’s in the same league as Central Waters, but falls a bit short of the Victory Oak Horizontal or Sucaba. Pours a dark copper with a tad bit of a head. Wonderful citrus, dried fruit aroma. Taste is big and smooth. Fruity initially fades gently. Not much hotness from the alcohol DocLock (10658) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 22, 2016
Bottle from WF PM. Pours hazy copper with loud, off-white head. Nose is caramel malt, molasses, oaky bourbon. Tastes rich, very dense on the tongue, with heavy oak and bourbon flavor, caramel, molasses, hops, mild smoky flavor. This is the best DuClaw beer I have had, and I’ll be buying a case to cellar. adrian910ss (2572) - Doylestown, PA, USA - AUG 15, 2014
12 oz bottle courtesy of Sloth. Pours a rusty amber with a medium light beige head. Aroma of charred oak, bourbon, caramelized sugar and vanilla. Taste of charred oak, caramel, caramelized sugar, bourbon and vanilla. Nice stuff.

Don’t know where to start, so much going on. Caramel, toffee, wood, bourbon, warmth. Nice creamy thick head and lacing. Makes my lips tingle. tgncc (3130) - Bellmore, New York, USA - OCT 4, 2013
Awesome aroma of vanilla, oak, bread, frit, light bourbon. The appearance is translucent amber, thin off-white head. The flavor is like the aroma, nice. Bourbon is restrained. The finish is bourbon, pine, citrus. Medium/thick in body. Very nice. closey22 (1918) - Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, USA - JUN 2, 2014
Dark amber with reddish hues and rimming beige head; aroma has notes of cinnamon and bourbon but both are softly blended; Flava is rich bourbon and sugary sweet malt; feels thick with nice fizzy bite; finishes dry and sweet boubou notes throughout horto008 (186) - Alabama, USA - FEB 26, 2015
Outstanding barleywine style beer. it had the ABV, the sweetness, the bourbon, but it also had a champagne quality that balanced the often overwhelming sweetness of the style. one of the most balanced barleywines i’ve ever tasted. Vaiz (4460) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - JUN 13, 2015
Tap @ Frisco’s, Columbia. Aroma is full of Bourbon, leather, vanilla, oak, fruity malts. Flavor is sweet, vanilla and somewhat alcoholic. Lovely balance. Great bourbon barrel.
