RATINGS: 191   WEIGHTED AVG: 3.31/5   EST. CALORIES: 225   ABV: 7.5%
A medium-bodied, golden IPA that gets in your face from first sweet sip to crisp, dry finish with the exotic tropical fruit flavors and aromas of New Zealand Motueka hops. With just enough malt character to keep the aggressive hop presence in check, and an unruly 7.5% abv, this brew was seemingly born to kick ass. And RAZE HELL!

Orange in color with a white head. Sort of a rough aroma. Tons of soap, green apple, and alcohol. Some cider, grass, and a bit of sweet bread and toasted malt. The flavor is really no better. Soapy, boozy, and harsh. Lots of green apple skin, quite bitter, and quite grassy. Some sweet toasted bread and a little bit of citrus peel.

not too much of an aroma, maybe faint faint pine hops. Very smooth body, has a decent hop taste, bit of pine, caramel, not bad overall.

From a bottle poured an amber color with a fair amount of head. Bitter hoppy flavor with a lingering finish.

reggiedunlop (3726) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 19, 2012
Pours a clear amber with a medium lt tan head. Aroma has pine and doughy malts. Flavor follows suit...piney/earthy hops and sweet caramely/doughy malts. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish is bitter and resinous pine. Just not very tasty at all.

Bottle from CaptCougar/GT2, complete malt bomb, actually undrinkable to me because it tasted so stale and old, no brewed date or date marking of any kind so down it went.

A very nice example of an IPA. Pours clear orange, with very little trace of white head. Aroma is full of sweet floral hops. Taste is citrus and caramel sweetness. Finishes slightly sticky with some hop bitterness. Very sessionable.

Hazy chestnut with a bit of white head. Aroma is like tangerine pith with malt and a bit of booze. Taste is the same with rich citrus and sweet malt. $4/12oz ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Hazy to cloudy golden color, thick creamy white head. Arona if grass and flowers. Taste is bitter pine, grass, scallions. Decent.

PhillyCraft (7934) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 9, 2012
On tap at Perch Pub, pours a lightly clear pumpkin orange, with thin white head, and nice white sheets of lacing. Aromas of citrus, caramel, toast, and vanilla. Taste is much of the same with a nice orange zest flavor and some delicious biscuity malts to back up the hops. Ultra sessionable. Not as funky and cheesy as most new zealand hopped varieties but still real nice. Dry finish. Medium bodied. Very enjoyable ipa from Duclaw.
