Just found the notes on this.
I’ve had this twice and it was in a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice slightly hazy orange but it still showed a decent looking transparency. The head was about a nice white color that dissipated within less than thirty seconds and it left a decent looking soapy looking lacing.
The smell had a decent allocation of piney to citrus to earthy hops.
The taste was mostly bitter but it did allow a decent sweetness to come out as the beer warmed.
On the palate, this one sat at/about a medium in body with a fairly decent sessionability running about the mouth and tongue. The carbonation was good for the style as it had a good harshness pummeling my tongue.
Overall, good AIPA well worthy of having again. HighlanderOne (1396) - York, SC via NJ, South Carolina, USA - JUN 9, 2014
Poured from bottle. Pine and citrus hops and ocean in aroma. Solid amber with just a bit of head. I taste a ton of hops, grapefruit/citrus followed by pine, floral and grass. Malt is sweet, almost honey flavor - complements hops nicely. Pear notes. Alcohol flavor in back. Good drinkability for a beer with this much going on. Great IPA. Taster at pub. Golden pour with white head and lacing. Mostly pine and floral hops on the nose. Well balanced with bitter dry finish... Good.

From bottle. Rye, grain, bit of skunk and caramel in the nose. Hazy copper body with medium foamy off-white lacing head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts medium dry with light warming. Caramel. Hoppy and resinous finish, lightly bitter and sweet. Sweetish after. rumproasts (6052) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - MAY 13, 2014

Tap at duclaw BWI. Cloudy orange, offwhite cream. Citru and peach notes, medium full sparkly sweet body, grassy herbal finish. Good balance. LinusStick (3532) - Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 6, 2014
Run of the mill IPA. Not "razing any hell" as the description says. Typical east coast IPA. Strong caramel malt presence with light mango and melon flavors/aroma. Very earthy. Slight iced tea off flavors. Mild carbonation. dliberto (217) - Hampstead, Maryland, USA - MAY 2, 2014
Drank from the bottle. Nose is citrus, pine, and metal. The taste is weird, it has a orange marmalade taste to it, bread, caramel. Heavy bodied, medium carbonation, mildly bitter, their is a little more of a malt character in this. It is different, not a well defined beer, it is solid nothing special.
