Bottle. Bright orange-amber and still, yet producing a brief but nice head. The aroma is interestingly complex ... And almost breakfasty, with a cinnamon and nutmeg thing. It drinks with the same aspects. This would go well with an airport Cinnabon. (#4699, 7/16/2012)

Dark amber pour, strong spicy aroma with hard hitting taste, but smooth finish. Very interesting, but not sure I really like it.

Clear amber pour wth faint offwhite head ring. Delicious cinnamon and clove nose and nutmeg. Flavor is like a weird apple pie with sweet potato twist. I just dont care for this overall, but the aroma is fantastic.

Bottle. Label shows 5% ABV. Copper pour with a short, fizzy white head. Aroma is flowery with soft spice, candi sugar and fruit notes. Big chamomile aromas to this. Taste is chamomile, soft spice, yeast notes, dried fruit, candi sugar, flowers and sweet malt. Mysterium comes across somewhat soft on the palate with a strong, bubbly carbonation. Feels almost over-carbonated at times. Ends with more chamomile, soft spice, sweet malt, candi sugar and dried fruit.

This poured a hazy darker yellow color with a white head. Aroma was coriander, clove, chamomille, and yeast. Flavor was a lot of chamomille, and vanilla light pineapple and yeast too. Somewhat interesting.

Spice and Belgian yeast aromas. Spicy bread flavors. Overall not too bad for a spiced Belgian.

Theyre out of Sawtooth and this is the temporary replacement. Sawtooth is better. Mysterium seems to be a traditional ale brewed with Belgian yeast and spiced with coriander, but as served on tap, it doesnt show the complexity that would surface after aging foe the style. Taste is between an abby dubble and a belgo. A bit hoppy on finish but not much else going on. Bready and bittering hop aroma. Light mouthfeel and abrupt finish. Taste is balanced and it drinks easy. Just lacks complexity.

Poured a clear golden color with a small white head. Lots of spice and floral notes in the aroma. Some oranges and yeast too. Taste is also quite spiced with some coriander and pepper. Some candi sugars. Pretty sweet overall. Not bad!
