COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This golden Belgian ale will mystify you with its medium body, its subtle malt and hop profiles, and its complex blend of spices. Fruit flavors, produced by a special strain of Belgian yeast, combine with Belgian candied sugar, chamomile, grains of paradise, and cardamom to create an unfiltered ale so intriguing, you’ll never want to get to the bottom of the mystery ... or your glass.

12 ounce thanks to Michelle. Bit of a yeasty ale. Somewhat spicy. Some sugar. But that’s about it.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a clear copper color with a small head of loose white bubbles. The nose leans heavy on the spice, particularly the chamomile and grains of paradise. Relatively light on the tongue with an oily feel. All those spices really come through on the tongue giving it a sort of potpourri sort of taste. Mysterious indeed, but not anything I would want a whole lot of.

From the tap poured a dark amber color with a fair amount of head. Light spicy malty flavor with a lingering aftertaste.

Pours clear amber, no head. Smells light and sweet. Tastes almost like apple and pear with some cinnamon, but more cider-like than beer-like. Distinct maltiness at the end. Clean finish.

Aromas of caramel, resin, spruce, vanilla, raisin. Pours dark amber with little head and low carbonation. Medium, sweet tasting beer with a hint of cardamon but too much chamomile and a slightly unpleasant and flat aftertaste.

Cinnamon, clove, cherry, and malt nose. Clear copper, thin head. Soft mouthfeel. Light allspice flavor, neutral malt. Alcohol not terribly noticeable. Strange but in a good way.

12oz bottle. Pour is golden color with little head that faded fast. Aroma is much like a pumpkin ale with notes of nutmeg and cinnamon. Mouth has a mild, but nice, hop opening and all the spice flooding the palette all the to the finish. The flavor sticks around for a bit between each sip. No lacing at all. Overall, I like it. It’s definitely something I can drink.

Bottle. Bright orange-amber and still, yet producing a brief but nice head. The aroma is interestingly complex ... And almost breakfasty, with a cinnamon and nutmeg thing. It drinks with the same aspects. This would go well with an airport Cinnabon. (#4699, 7/16/2012)

Pours a caramel color. Smell is a bit spicy. Taste is spices, ginger and cardamon, a touch of fruit. Overall a unique beer.

Dark amber pour, strong spicy aroma with hard hitting taste, but smooth finish. Very interesting, but not sure I really like it.
