For the alcohol content of the beer it is very smooth and not overly spicy, which I tend to see in higher content beers. Butters (4176) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - NOV 1, 2012
Bomber pours opaque near black with ring of decent light brown head. Nose of roast and chocolate and slight coffee. Flavor is more imperial stout than barley wine. Roast chocolate with chocolate covered black cherries and other stone fruits with an expresso finish. Velvety chewy body with some alcohol warming, but surprisingly smooth and easy drinking. This was quite nice. PhillyCraft (7916) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 9, 2012
On tap, pours a black shade with barely any head, small amount of lacing Aromas and flavor is ultra buttery oak, toffee, hops, and some bitter grains, roasted malts, chalk, vanilla, cereal, and other smooth notes. Maybe my favorite of the lineup Duclaw brought. Makes sense since devils milk is my all time fave from them. budznsudz (584) - Audubon, New Jersey, USA - DEC 30, 2012
Pours dark and opaque with a thin ring of head. The aroma is oaky cocoa, roasted malt and black licorice. The taste is fruity malt and rich toasted malt. Barleywine and Russian imp stout are my two favorite styles and they compliment each other quite well here. drowland (9057) - Georgia, USA - JUL 31, 2013
Sampled during CBC 2013. Almost black pour with a small khaki head. Roast, dark fruits, coffee, and chocolate on the aroma. The flavor follows with roast, coffee, chocolate, and dark fruits. I dig it!

Bomber from Beer Run. Pours a dark brown color with a medium sized frothy brown head. Good head retention. Aroma of roasted malts and toffee. The taste is roasted malts, toffee, bitter hops. nuts and herbal notes. Medium-full bodied. Nice beer. Elwood (3347) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - OCT 14, 2012
Serving: 22 oz. bottle. It pours damn near black with a thick tan head. The nose is fruity with stewed plum, raisin and roasted malt notes. The flavor is a great mix of chocolate, dark cherries, coffee, roasted malt, slight earth and minerals and a touch of alcohol. Rich and full bodied with soft carbonation. I enjoyed this one. 22 oz bottle. Dark brown with a tan head. Smells like Fig Newtons and chocolate cake; crazy. Creamy, nitro-like mouthfeel with a spicy buzz. Taste again is fig with rum raisin, coffee and bittersweet chocolate. The stout balances the sweetness of the barleywine but comes off a bit muddled though still tasty.
