(Bottle) clear, bright. very dark brown colour with a small brown head; aroma of peanut butter, milk chocolate; balanced flavour with a long, medium bitter finish Capa (3748) - DC, Washington DC, USA - FEB 23, 2018
Deep brown/black with a creamy off-white head. Nutty, sweet malt, chocolate, mild coffee, earth. Medium body. Sweet, nutty finish. I was a little surprised at how light the coffee was. Still, solid PB porter. OnTheTrail (642) - Virginia, USA - FEB 19, 2018
Pours very dark brown , tan head. Aroma is very nice hard to tease out the peanut butter from the coffee. Definite espresso notes. Taste is espresso, bitterness, hints of natural peanut, hints of malty sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy creaminess. For what sounds like a gimmicky beer, its actually rather good.

Well, this is a good beer in terms of how its built, but I'm just not sure its for me. The nose was really nice, first chocolate, then coffee, and then a hint of peanut butter. But despite how "nice" that was, is that what I want my beer to smell like? Then in the taste, much drier than expected, with soft malt, and very heavy on the peanut butter flavors, with just a wee hint of coffee and chocolate in the background (more chocolate than coffee). Light bitterness at finish, semi-dry. It all blends well, and doesn't taste bad at all, but again, do I want these flavors in a beer? I don't think I do. As with all my ratings, my score reflects my own personal feeling about the beer, not to any style, and should be thought of as reflecting the likelihood I would ever drink this again. Aroma is vanilla and intense Java beans. Taste is chocolate, caramel, and smoked coffee beans. Fairly well balanced. DuffMan (10983) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 28, 2018
Bottle, beer advent calendar, shared with chuckeedoug and phantomhennes. Sweet dark Porter with a fairly big body, but the PB flavour is dominant and notably artificial. Not bad but not blowing my mind. PorterPounder (8432) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JAN 28, 2018
Tallahassee, Fl - on tap at Momo's. Pitch black sable pour, thin but persistent bone colored head, film of lacing. Peanut butter and creosote in the aroma. Bold flavor, nice black coffee accents, a touch of peanut butter, some topsoil, chocolate makes a brief appearance in the back end. Pleasant, dry mouthfeel. Deep black pour with a thick brown head. The aroma has a lot of dark chocolate aroma. A very subtle hint of peanut butter with a fairly pronounced coffee character. Lots of dark malt through the middle of the palate along with a lingering coffee flavour. Pretty nice flavour really - a fairly earthy/heavy roastiness on the finish with a bit of dark fruit as well. No vegetal character at all... lots of intense dark flavours. A touch of nuttiness on the finish. Solid.
