COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First brewed in 2011, this Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter is jet black in color with a tan, rocky head, full body and creamy, luxurious mouthfeel. Its lightly sweet, malty flavor is accented by rich flavors of chocolate, coffee and peanut butter, and balanced by a subtle hop character and moderate 6.2% abv. Sweet Baby Jesus finishes smooth, dry, and roasty with lingering notes of chocolate and peanut butter so savory, you will exclaim its name!

Almost black beer with a brown head. Aromas of dark coffee and peanut butter. Tastes of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, burnt peanuts, and earth. Bittersweet finish. A bit cloying with an oily mouth feel. I thought this was tasty, but would have like more peanut butter here.

Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Poured dark brown with a big tan head that left good lacing. Nose of burnt malts, chocolate, and a ton of peanut butter. Medium body. Flavor is very intense and the burnt malts and peanut butter go well together and the chocolate adds background. Finishes with citrus and lots of peanut butter plus nice bitterness. Nice beer.

12 ounce bottle from hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. Very dark brown with caramel highlights. A big beige creamy head is four fingers. During the pour I smelled peanuts and rich dark malts. I taste peanuts and peanut skins. Malt milk balls under that. Citrus and hop bitterness, too. I dont really get any peanut butter but it is almost like drinking peanuts with those Malted Milk Balls.

Pours deep brown with a medium tan head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is really nice aroma of peanut butter and chocolate. Taste has a sharp bitterness initially then the peanut and chocolate flavors creep in. That bitterness hangs on throughout the palate all the way to the finish. Aroma is beautiful, but taste is off balance -- the sharp bitterness described as "a subtle hop character" throws me off. Overall, good.

Very pleasant notes of chocolate and peanutbutter - becomes a little one dimensional though. The taste notes would have been better suited for a stronger and thicker beer.

Great aroma of peanut butter and chocolate. Very impressive peanut butter aroma with a great chocolate finish. Taste is a full flavored smooth Porter with chocolate and peanut butter. Not overlly sweet and very flavorful and easy drinking. Not sweet and heavy. A very nice and different porter.

Aroma of peanut butter and chocolate. Pretty impressive peanut butter aroma with a dry cocoa chocolate. Taste is a full flavored smooth Porter with chocolate and peanut butter. Not sweet. Slight bitter cocoa finish. Flavorful but still easy drinking. Not sweet and heavy. I like it, different and unique but a nice Porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The pour is true, black and slow. Light brown head, very thick and full. Great looking beer. The smell is fantastic, lots of peanut butter and some chocolate. Taste follows that, a Reeses in a bottle. Winter is coming, prepare accordingly.
