COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First brewed in 2011, this Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter is jet black in color with a tan, rocky head, full body and creamy, luxurious mouthfeel. Its lightly sweet, malty flavor is accented by rich flavors of chocolate, coffee and peanut butter, and balanced by a subtle hop character and moderate 6.2% abv. Sweet Baby Jesus finishes smooth, dry, and roasty with lingering notes of chocolate and peanut butter so savory, you will exclaim its name!

Poured from a bottle. Very dark brown, almost black, with a bit of caramel color around the edges and a big frothy beige head. Aromas of peanut butter and malty chocolate. Smells almost exactly like the chocolate peanut butter flavor of Optimum Nutritions casein protein powder. Feel is moderately full-bodied with a bit more carbonation than I would like. Taste starts a little more slowly and subtly than the smell, but brings the same flavors: peanut butter, chocolate, and malt, along with some milkiness. The finish is pretty dry with a hint of bitterness. Overall, the smell is maybe too strong, but not a bad beer. Not something I would drink all the time though.

Twelve ounce bottle from mix six pack bought at Hattings Supermarket, tasted on January 17, 2016. Opaque brown hue, aroma of peanut butter (and how) and chocolate thats almost like that of a Reeses Cup in addition to roasted malt, taste dials way back on the peanut butter and isnt as strong as the aroma would indicate, some astringency. Not bad but this brewerys Dirty Little Freak is better.

Pours black with a thick tan head. Aroma of chocolate with a peanut in the shell. Taste of creamy semi sweet chocolate with peanut butter with a dry finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Dark pour from bottle. Aroma is deep, deep milk chocolate and creamy peanut butter. Taste is exactly the same. Complex and interesting.

12 oz. bottle. Pours black in color with a brief tan head that settles to a thin film. Aroma is primarily chocolate with a definite peanut butter background. Full body, taste is a good combination of chocolate and the peanut butter comes through at the swallow. Finish has a touch of dryness with the chocolate/peanut butter sticking around for a bit. Not bad.

Not as much peanut butter as I would like. Pours a pure black with an opaque body, thick and dense tan head. The nose is rich and dessert esque. Espresso, cocoa, peanuts and a rich roasted malt. Sweet finish with a nice kick of malty bitterness. Well done but too sweet.

12 oz bottle. The porter poured an opaque black with a tan head. The aroma of peanut butter and chocolate greets you. The taste has more peanut butter and could use more roasted malt. The porter has light body and soft carbonation. This porter is just too sweet for my taste.

I love beer, I love chocolate, I love peanut butter, but I loathe chocolate peanut butter porter. Go figure.

12oz bottle to tulip. Pours black with short foam tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, choc, peanut butter, toffee, caramel. Taste of same with bitter choc and dark fruits. Like a pb choc covered cherry. Med syrup mouthfeel with big carb.

Bottle, thanks sevenhokie! Aroma is like a peanut butter cup with notes of chocolate and peanut butter as well as a bit of roasted malt. Pours dark brown with one finger of light brown head with good retention and not much lacing. Starts with rich roasted malt and some chocolate flavors, muck like you'd expect from a porter. Finishes smooth with a strong peanut butter sweetness that lingers on the palate. Not amazing, but the best peanut butter porter I've had.
