COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First brewed in 2011, this Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter is jet black in color with a tan, rocky head, full body and creamy, luxurious mouthfeel. Its lightly sweet, malty flavor is accented by rich flavors of chocolate, coffee and peanut butter, and balanced by a subtle hop character and moderate 6.2% abv. Sweet Baby Jesus finishes smooth, dry, and roasty with lingering notes of chocolate and peanut butter so savory, you will exclaim its name!

Served on-tap at Als of Hampden. A - Pours dark brown with a small off white head leaving spotty trails of thin lace down the top part of the glass. S - Smells of fresh toasted peanuts, bakers chocolate and the dark roasted grain. The nuts are strong, combining with the chocolate to make this ones nose exactly as advertised. T - Tastes just like it smells, maybe with a bit less nuts, making it a bit more balanced. Some light hop bitterness comes through as it warms up. Finish is roasty, lingering on the palate for quite awhile after consumption. M - Heavy body with moderate carbonation. Smooth, roasty feel. Finish is roasty, lingering for quite awhile. O- Overall a pretty good chocolate PB beer but not the best I have had. Definitely worth a shot if your into this kind of beer, just dont expect the something mind blowing.

Very pleasant notes of chocolate and peanutbutter - becomes a little one dimensional though. The taste notes would have been better suited for a stronger and thicker beer.

Aroma of peanut butter and chocolate. Pretty impressive peanut butter aroma with a dry cocoa chocolate. Taste is a full flavored smooth Porter with chocolate and peanut butter. Not sweet. Slight bitter cocoa finish. Flavorful but still easy drinking. Not sweet and heavy. I like it, different and unique but a nice Porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The pour is true, black and slow. Light brown head, very thick and full. Great looking beer. The smell is fantastic, lots of peanut butter and some chocolate. Taste follows that, a Reeses in a bottle. Winter is coming, prepare accordingly.

I may be rating this a bit higher on flavor...as I love anything with peanut butter. The base porter behind the peanut butter has some good chocolate to it as well, but slightly rusty/metallic. Balance could be better, otherwise has some good potential. Glad I tried though, as I was sold on "peanut butter" and the label.

Bottle from Js. Pours a pitch black with a finger of brown foam that lingers. Big peanut butter and almond nose with hints of cacao nib and roasted cocoa. Full-bodied for a porter, but tons of peanut butter and some creaminess on the palate. Lingering hoppy bitterness. Fun stuff.

Pours black, good sized tan head.Aroma is odd cocoa powder, like cheap candy. Tastes better than it smells, some roast malt, a better cocoa, then a kick that could be hops, or could have something to do with the peanut butter, Im not sure. Coild be coffee, could be hazlenut. Mouthfeel is lighter than I would have expected.
