Wow this smells like a peanut butter cup when you pour it. Got this bottle thanks to Balto_MD. I love trying these interesting experimental beers. This is a joy to drink. I can see it getting old after two but would be great with dessert. Slight metallic taste when sipped lightly but it goes away with bigger swigs.

Sweet, toasted soy, hazelnut aroma. Flavor - moderately astringent, coffeeish, hazelnut, nutty sweetness, Flavor is presumptuous, and not well balanced. There is an unpleasantness to the bitter in the finish. Clumsy, could have hung together a lot better. UPDATED: AUG 11, 2017 Bottle pour into tulip glass from Manchester Wine and Liquors. Appearance is dark brown/ruby red, decent sparkle, finger-width light brown foamy head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malts, chocolate, lighter peanut butter. Taste is bittersweet roasted malts bordering on ash, chocolate and peanut butter. Palate is medium bodied with slick, smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste with late dominant bitter ending. Overall, some complexity with a number of aromas/flavors and combination of sweet and bitter. AJCliff1983 (12) - - JUL 24, 2017
This is a great tasting beer. The hints of chocolate and peanut butter sliding over your tongue is wonderful.

Bottles bought by Alice. Heavy on the PB re: both nose and palate; chocolate not as prominent. Very light bodied and agree with one of the other raters that this flavor profile would have been better suited to a heavier imperial stout or something more high-gravity. Still enjoyable for what it is. If I were more of a PB guy I’d make this a regular thing.
