3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma carries a definite cocoa and peanut butter edge. Also a little malt and a scotch feel. Poured with almost no head except a white ring, and a dark dark brown. Taste highlights a malty cocoa, but with a lighter smoothness. Palate is medium, and a little slick but not too much. Finish was a little bitter but in a good way.
Bottles bought by Alice. Heavy on the PB re: both nose and palate; chocolate not as prominent. Very light bodied and agree with one of the other raters that this flavor profile would have been better suited to a heavier imperial stout or something more high-gravity. Still enjoyable for what it is. If I were more of a PB guy I’d make this a regular thing. beerbellybomber7 (1) - - JUL 10, 2017 does not count
Not bad for a candle, though it could illuminate the room I found the taste bland and waxy. Maybe they should try a high class scented candle for their next brew, perhaps a Yankee. Westy1130 (94) - New York, USA - JUL 9, 2017
Nothing impressive in appearance; pours like a standard porter. Aroma/taste is very pleasant; like a Reese’s cup and Snickers melted in a glass. Very light and fizzy on the palate. This would be delicious if it was a 10-15% abv. Bacchus66 (339) - South Carolina, USA - JUL 8, 2017
From tap. Pours very dark brown with a thin tan head. Smells like peanut butter. Tastes like peanut butter, chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt and some light coffee notes. Medium bodied with a smooth Nutella finish. Have one for dessert. Nuffield (4171) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - JUN 21, 2017
The peanut butter here is massive, but the overall effect is still fairly positive. I enjoyed the richness, the dark malts, and the fact that it was less sweet than a spoonful of peanut butter--which I occasionally will eat. Overall, decent. On tap at airport brewery location, BWI.

I bought this bottle at the drink of the world in Geneva and I taste this delicious beverage, on the train from Geneva to Sion. In my point of view, it is a really good beer, original, typical American. The body is a pleasant black color, creamy and brown head. The carbonation is regular for the style. The taste is overpowered by the peanuts butter, sensation of sweetness like a goodness licor coming through your throat, roasted malt, hop, side of vanilla, a bit soapy at the final, good experience!!!! shadey (2135) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 3, 2017
12oz bottle. Matte black pour with a nice dark tan head. Rich malty aroma with a big sweetness and mild roast. Flavors are very smooth and the body is silky. jjgmd (2161) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - MAY 7, 2017
Bottle, pours a dark black brown pour with an ephemeral java colored head. Nose is sweet malt with heavy chocolate and peanut butter. Taste is very sweet chocolate malt and milder peanut butter. Finishes on the same sweet sugary chocolate peanut butter notes. Not as heavy as I expected, which was pleasing. Quaff Score 8 / 10 drpimento (3630) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - APR 2, 2017
Well, There’s no doubt whatsoever that it’s a peanut butter Porter. Aroma’s in your face peanut butter and a little roasty malt. Flavor’s like nose, fairly dry, average carbonation. Long Renobob (2064) - Besançon, FRANCE - MAR 29, 2017
Bue à la pression. Couleur brun foncé, mousse beige clair. Nez sur le café et le maïs (étrange ?). Palais surprenant, tout doux, velours mais un gout de maïs qui prend le dessus sur le reste et c’est dommage.
