COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First brewed in 2011, this Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter is jet black in color with a tan, rocky head, full body and creamy, luxurious mouthfeel. Its lightly sweet, malty flavor is accented by rich flavors of chocolate, coffee and peanut butter, and balanced by a subtle hop character and moderate 6.2% abv. Sweet Baby Jesus finishes smooth, dry, and roasty with lingering notes of chocolate and peanut butter so savory, you will exclaim its name!

On tap at the brewpub. Deep brown brew with some tan head. They did a great job infusing peanut butter aroma and flavor into a dry, chocolaty porter. Nose of chocolate and fresh peanut butter with some roasted malt. Body is a bit thin.

12oz bottle brought back from Florida. Poured black with tan head. Fantastic peanut butter and dark fruit nose. Taste is clear peanut butter chocolate biscuits. Even feels like a crunchy flavour. Sweet but fantastic.

Jest mas?o orzechowe, czekolada, corn flakes, troszk? alko. Aromat jest niezbyt bogaty ale spoko. Inaczej ze smakiem. Piwo jest mega wodniste, za wysoko wysycone, kwa?ne. S?abe

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2017 Bottle pour into tulip glass from Manchester Wine and Liquors. Appearance is dark brown/ruby red, decent sparkle, finger-width light brown foamy head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malts, chocolate, lighter peanut butter. Taste is bittersweet roasted malts bordering on ash, chocolate and peanut butter. Palate is medium bodied with slick, smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste with late dominant bitter ending. Overall, some complexity with a number of aromas/flavors and combination of sweet and bitter.

Bottles bought by Alice. Heavy on the PB re: both nose and palate; chocolate not as prominent. Very light bodied and agree with one of the other raters that this flavor profile would have been better suited to a heavier imperial stout or something more high-gravity. Still enjoyable for what it is. If I were more of a PB guy I’d make this a regular thing.

Not bad for a candle, though it could illuminate the room I found the taste bland and waxy. Maybe they should try a high class scented candle for their next brew, perhaps a Yankee.
