Firkin Friday at Bowie location on 08/02/13. Arrived at the table a slightly hazy amber color with no real head at all. The aroma featured some caramel, a little biscuity breadiness, citrus, zesty rinds, light apricot/peach, and some hints of pine. Went down fairly thin and watery with a low level of carbonation. Caramel and a slight biscuity presence started things off taste-wise. Citrus fruits and zesty rinds finished things off. There was a very subtle touch of tangy apricots and peaches the whole way through. Ultimately, the flavors were rather muted and the whole thing was quite forgettable. j12601 (12974) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUL 31, 2011
Bottle in the campground at BCTC. Pours a clear brown amber with a thin white head. Dank citrus and caramel on the nose. Toasted sesame, nutty malt. Toasty, cool and crisp. Malt and crisp toast on the finish. hopscotch (11175) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 16, 2005
Draft at the 2005 Maryland Brewers Spring Fest... Hazy, apricot colored ale. The aroma is full of bigtime apricot. Fizzy and watery with a nice apricot flavor. Medium-bodied at most. I would have this again in the heat of Summer. Very good crossover ale geared toward the women in the crowd. Enjoyed by most everyone at the festival, I would imagine, on such a warm, humid day.
