Ok stout, coffee, roasty, Some head, very dry on the finish. A little chocolate in the aftertase.

Noire. Tête brune. Dentelle. Arômes de grains noirs rôtis, de café serré et, dans une moindre mesure, de chocolat pur. Saveurs qui s’affirment difficilement. Céréales rôties, torréfaction et petite touche de vanille se signalent en cours de route. Corps léger. Pétillement bas. Arrière-goût bien sec. Température de service impeccable. Rien de bien vibrant. On draft at Due South. Pours a medium stout brown with an off-tan head. Nose is roasted malts, some dry coffee, some baker’s chocolate, and some mild cocoa. Flavor follows with some roast, some dark chocolate, some cocoa, earth, and dry coffee. Flavor finishes dry with earthy bitterness.

Draft at Sybarite Pig. American pint. Nitro. Super thick white head with nice black thick body. Aroma of roasted malts, cocoa and vanilla. Taste very roasted malts, nuts, chocolate, and vanilla. Tap. Moderate malt aromas of bread and toasted, light herbs and dough for the hops and yeast, with a nice note of cocoa. Head is large, creamy, light beige with excellent lacing and good legs and is fully lasting. Color is sparkling clear very dark brown with a red tint. Flavor stats lightly to moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, watery with a soft carbonation. On tap at Due South. Pours dark brown with light tan head. Aromas of roasted malt with a little vanilla and chocolate. Flavor of roasted malts, some chocolate, light vanilla, and finishes bitter and dry. Body is a little thin. Not bad.
